Gatwick hideout, hotel in Charlwood

Gatwick hideout is located in Charlwood, just 18 miles from Nonsuch Park and 19 miles from Hever Castle.

Great location in a sweet little village near Gatwick. 2 pleasant pubs serving food nearby and a Deli. The owner had thoughtfully left fruit in a basket and milk in the fridge. Tea, coffee & sugar also provided. There's even a washing machine should you need it. Parking is great as you can park right outside the Hideout. Very handy for Purple Parking, if you're heading to Gatwick.

The location was beautiful scenery and the building was also stunning with original Arts and Crafts architecture. Plenty of parking and enabled my husband to drive me from Suffolk to Gatwick so I could get a taxi the following morning to the airport and he was ester for the journey back the that day! He gets tired easily ! I looked into train, coach and taxi but all of theses were not possible due to expense, time or the fact I had heavy luggage. It was well worth the money !

Booked parking (8 nights) and room for 1 night with holiday extras and room for 1 night with booking.com. Both exceptional value. Taxi to airport was a fixed £17.50 and very well organised. Even had tracking provided as to how long the taxi would be. Very friendly staff and excellent food. If you're on the 2nd floor the shower takes a while for the water to heat up. Lovely rooms.

Stay before early flight the following morning. The hotel was beautifully situated in picturesque surroundings. The bar had a large selection of drinks even stocking the more rare spirits. Plenty of choice in the restaurant

Booked this hotel for convenience of closeness to wedding venue, found out day before wedding we had been relocated to Europa. This hotel wasn't convenient at all and stank to high heaven of mould and smoke. Wouldn't recommend to anybody. Only bonus is staff were friendly.

We like the hotel in general for the location ambience and grounds. We do not like being put into attic rooms every time we stay at the hotel. Heat is very noisey or as per this stay AC controls don't work. The room lighting is always very poor i.e. in 216 you either have to all the central lights on or no lights for desk and sitting area.

Excellent staff, good sized room and lovely grounds with fields especially for dogs to run off the lead. The food was good and I am sure would be even better if eaten in the dining room rather than our bedroom!

Nicely renovated barn on a private property. Bed was comfortable and bathroom stylish and spacious. Facilities are provided to make food. This was a pleasant alternative to an airport hotel and nearby pubs in the village are good options to visit.

Location to Gatwick is fabulous and for less than a hotel room you can have a fabulous space for a couple, family of four or 2 couples. Great facilities, comfy beds and lots of little extras, including the gorgeous dogs who came to welcome us.
