The location is hard to beat: it's within 10 walking distance from 3 dive shops, 2 groceries, 4 restaurants and the Tiputa Pass itself. They also provided me with a bicycle (and a headlight) which turned that into less than 2-3 minutes. The cabin was in a great condition. They even stocked the fridge with a food items which came in very handy on Sunday when the shops were closed. The beach is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. I saw many butterfly fish and even a few baby blacktips in the shallows. Jeannine and her entire family were amazing hosts. Highly recommended!

Blue Lagoon Villa is a recently renovated villa in Avatoru, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, private beach area and garden. We used to stay at a big hotel in Rangiroa, but really prefer the villa, more advantages. It has a real pool on the beach (not just a small one with no view) and the villa opens up to a stunning lagoon! The villa is large, spacious, modern, super clean, and very comfortable. We loved: - beautiful pool in front of the sea - the entire place opening up to the sea - Air conditioning in the living room, dining room, and kitchen (hard to find in Polynesia) - few small restaurants less than 5 minutes away by car and a supermarket just 3 minutes away on foot - Louis picking us up on the beach for excursions to the Blue Lagoon! - kayak trips were amazing - super comfortable beds - a private garden with no neighbors, the river, and the beach We can't wait to come back next year for two weeks this time! It is a really beautiful bungalow, perfect for a couple to stay. Every morning, the host greeted us with a fresh baguette and fruits from their garden. The Wi-Fi is strong and absolute stable. There is a fully equipped kitchen. We could use their bicycles anytime. Transport from and to the airport was also arranged.

Rangiroa Cottage is situated in Avatoru and offers a garden and a bar. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. This place is beautiful, very comfortable and extremely well located. I was in both of the high-end hotels on Rangiroa during my stay, and I felt that Rangiroa Cottage was just as nice. If you prefer the independence of staying in a home, then this is a far superior option. On top of that, it is much cheaper.

Heimaruragi home TEMAI TOURS is located in Avatoru and offers a private beach area and a garden. This holiday home provides free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. Large and light house, big beds, lots of room. Everything you need for a simple stay in a paradise. Big green garden in the sun, but no sitting and shaded arrangements. The hosts provided drinking water, and it was cooled. A couple of minutes walk to the lagoon on one side or to the Pacific on the other side. There is no public beach, and this property doesn't have a beach, but you can easily get into the water - on the lagoon side (where the beach is owned by other hotels/guest housers) or on the Pacific side (where the beach is free and the waves are huge). Only cold water in the house, but it worked fine, wasn't a problem at all. No crazy crowing roosters to spoil your sleep, but barking dogs :-) There is an excellent restaurant and a bar in Kia Ora hotel 5 min walk - highly recommended.
