Renovated in 2015, IORI Stay is nestled in Takayama. This traditional Japanese-style townhouse was created in collaboration with local artists and boasts designs with both modern and traditional... Chitose san is really the highlight of this beautiful property! She's very kind and helpful and always cheerful. She gave us some really great recommendations. The property is typically Japanese yet luxurious. It has very thoughtful little touches and great coffee (Nespresso)! While some folks have commented the breakfast is ok, I thought it was quite nice. It's not lavish but its a nicely assembled bento.

A recently renovated property, Komorebi/こもれび is set in Takayama near Takayama Station, Sakurayama Hachiman Shrine and Fuji Folk Museum. We loved everything about this house! It is beautiful, it had everything our family of four needed, and it is walking distance to many temples and other sites around the walking course. We've been traveling around Japan for about a month and this is by far the best place we've stayed. I wish we could have stayed longer.

This house is beautifully designed and equipped, very comfortable and fun for the kids when they can explore every corner. The view when you have bbq at the garden at dawn… spectacular! Located in Kani and only 30 km from Nagoya Castle, 大正の宿 浪漫邸 provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The rooms are very spacious and there is a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. There is also a garden and small pond which makes the place looks very relaxing. Very traditional house.

Located in Sakashita, 46 km from Gero Station and 8.1 km from Toson Memorial Museum, ゲストハウス にじゅうよん offers a garden and air conditioning. This property was a fantastic place to stay for our family. The house had everything we needed, the views out the backdoor were amazing, and the town was a hidden gem. I would recommend staying here.

Soramachi was a very comfortable house with good facilities. Probably the most spacious and nicest accomodation we experienced in our travels through Japan. Only stayed 2 nights but it provided a relaxing and quiet break from the crowds elsewhere. The house is right on the river and close to a tranquil temple walk and public bathhouse . It is an easy walk from there to the old quarter and we walked to the house with luggage from the station ( 1.4 km). The owners are obviously very house proud and welcoming. Highly recommend this accomodation.
