I had a traditional Torajan home all to myself and it felt so special. The place was extremely clean, had all I needed. It is part of a typical Torajan family's compound. Aldi, the host went out of his way to help and assist me with everything. He even waited for us until late at night (and I felt horrible about it, because it was like 1.30 AM when I arrived), as I was driving from Makasar and arrived later than expected. He organized a 2 day tour with Mr. Ino (also recommended), who showed me around the main sights at VERY reasonable cost. The place was spotless, comfortable, and felt like I was in a documentary. Absolutely recommended. As for Tana Toraja.... it is a unique corner of our world. Make sure you spend at least 2 days there to see everything. Ask for Ino's services.

It is the best place, the people are so kind that I felt like family, the houses are beautiful with toraja architecture, the hosts taught us the typical food and all the time were aware of us, the food is very good and John gave us a tour and took us to a funeral, John is very kind, he taught us a lot about the people and traditions and treated us very well, I would like to return, I wish them the best because they are very good people, John also went to pick us up and drop us off at the bus terminal

Towels and bed linen are available in the holiday home. The accommodation is allergy-free. We are very happy that we chose Toraja Homestay. To stay in a traditional Torajan house was already an experience and a very good one. They made our travel easier in every possible way. From the pick up, preparing food for us, recommending us a guide, etc. We totally recommend it. We would have loved to stay longer but our plans didn't allow it.

It's a stunning spot and such a welcoming, well designed experience. The restaurant menu is diverse and always good, the staff work hard and have a great sense of humour. I particularly like the fact that these guys care about the problem of plastic waste and put water dispensers in each bungalow. Will hopefully have to come here for work again!
