We stayed at Pen-Rhos in “Cuckoo’s Nest for four nights in mid January. The scenery surrounding the ‘cabin’ was breathtaking and there was enough space between each cabin for privacy. The space was small, but perfect for two and had every appliance we needed for meals and hot drinks. The bathroom was clean and the shower heated quicker than ours at home. Llandrindod Wells had a few pubs and grocery stores that were close and convenient. Surrounding cities like Newtown, Rhayader, and Builth Wells were great for pub dinners.

A dog walking service is available on request for an additional fee. The cottage was amazing and the facilities were a great addition. The view was outstanding, watching the sun rise every morning from the cottage window was beautiful. Having access to the spa and pool after a day of exploring helped us to relax and unwind. The children loved having their own upstairs space along with all the outside space for playing and running around.

We really enjoyed the location just around the corner from the main clock tower, and luckily in town during the Thursday farmers market, which was lovely. The apartment was well furnished with comfy couch and two arm chairs on main floor (with plenty of board games to keep us occupied), full size dining table on bottom floor with a large outdoor area overlooking the river and large kitchen. Bedrooms were comfy and our kids loved their twin bedded room. Overall, a fantastic stay!

You could help yourself to as much as you wanted. The room was very clean and comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. We did part of the history walk around the village and learnt a lot about the surrounding area. It was the perfect place to stay
A lovely cooked breakfast. A pretty quiet village, very peaceful

The location is fantastic, offering a beautiful view of the village and being very close to the river. The building is very well-maintained and clean. We had a very enjoyable stay at The Dragon in the pretty village of Montgomery. Staff are friendly and welcoming, our vegetarian breakfasts and dinners were of a high standard. Our room was very pretty with a nice view over the village. Our bathroom had a huge bath in it, luxury! We did a very nice walk to Offa's Dyke from the village centre.
