My kids loved it! It felt like home away from home. Our kids called it our scottish home. If we needed anything our host was super responsive and helpful. The location was perfect for us as we were in and out of edinburgh city centre a couple of times throughout our stay. There is a corner shop a stone throw away in case you need anything but i doubt you will as our amazing host left us with a brilliant breakfast hamper. We cant thank you enough and would happily recommend to anyone.

Stayed here with my husband and son, in the lap of luxury! Definitely worth every penny paid, for the tasteful decor, luxurious beds, well-equipped kitchen, complimentary pastries and coffee in the gorgeous lounge. Ideal location in the centre of Edinburgh's new town, near the tram, near the shops and restaurants, but also very peaceful and quiet.
The copper roll top bath in the room and the huge antique 4 poster bed were so luxurious. The super modern bathroom is bigger than my bedroom at home and the robes were a lovely luxury touch
Everything was perfect, clean and luxurious. Nothing was too much trouble and the entire hotel was full of luxury, comfort, and simply more than you could need. Every thought and additional comfort was cared for
Location was 9 miles from airport. However was only £16 in an Uber rather than a £45/50 taxi. However, they offer a free airport shuttle to and from if required. Didn't work for us as we landed at 1am. Hotel is luxurious. Great quality utilities and condiments in the room, shower is unbelievable. Bed is as comfy as they come. The whole room makes you feel like you're living the luxury. The lobby was probably the best part, it's beautiful and welcoming. As well as really calming and artistic. Extremely impressed.
Beautiful building in a great location for exploring Leith. Our room was modern and clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable with luxurious feather pillows. Our bathroom was spacious with an amazing shower and fab toiletries!! The extra touches like the bathrobes, slippers and nespresso machine added to the luxury and comfort.
beautiful mansion like hotel, it’s 3,2 K walk from the city centre and a 2K walk to Dean’s Village following a path alongside the river Leith. The rooms a clean, beds comfortable and even while being in the city and sleeping with our windows open there were no traffic sounds. Breakfast was very good
The hotel is beautiful - as soon as you see the outside of the building you know you are in for a special treat. The bar and restaurant areas are in keeping with the theme and feel luxurious. Our room was spacious, clean and with everything you could possibly need and again all the items are luxury brands. Beds were super comfy and we were able to enjoy TV including YouTube and Prime. All members of staff we spoke to were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
There are no good enough words to describe how amazing our long weekend was thanks to Carol and Holiday Village. So high standard, so comfortable, so clean. Carol was so helpful and made our trip much easier as It was our first time in Scotland. We highly recommend and definitely will be back asap!
