Good location, near to the airport for a stopover the first night. Clean room, and nice a quiet - slept well. Breakfast was decent.

It is well maintained, clean and in a perfect location. The breakfast buffet is amazing, there are even mimosas. Lots of space to lounge in the lobby and have fun. It is also quiet and the hallways and rooms are spacious. Lovely stay! The restaurant for dinner was also amazing.

Located in Borgarnes, 43 km from Thingvellir National Park, Basalt Hotel provides accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. The location is a bit remote, and it's a bit scary to drive there at night, as you have to walk about ten kilometers on a small road; the room is large, neat and clean; the view outside the window is particularly beautiful; the breakfast is relatively simple but very delicious.
