Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. The property was so nice. A great location! I wish we could’ve stayed 2 days there. I think there are lots of interesting hikes thru forests. We only had time to see a nearby waterfall. We saw northern light from the outdoor hot tubs.

Set 27 km from Hella and 12 km from Laugaland, Landhotel features a garden, bar and free WiFi. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Jacuzzi outside is a plus. The breakfast was super complete. The receptionist guy was extremely friendly and we were called for the northern lights.

Loved this hotel. Modern rooms, lovely bathroom! This is the only place we stayed in Iceland that had a fridge in the room which was great to have. Loved the self check in process! Makes it so quick and easy to check in and out. And you can arrive any time then. This is great if you’ve been out sightseeing all day. Included breakfast was nice. We got some views of the northern lights above the hotel (although a little bit harder to see than other spots with the light from the hotel) Restaurant mika that the hotel recommended was really good.

Situated in Gardur, Lighthouse-Inn offers accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a sun terrace and sea views. All units feature air conditioning and a satellite flat-screen TV. The location is just unbelievably beautiful, the rooms are big and clean, all facilities and room amenities are available and its cheap. So its a perfect value for money hotel.

Excellent quiet location, comfortable beds, clean room, great breakfast and other hotel facilities (they do have an outdoor tub, but we didn't try it, maybe next time). Also we loved the little orangery where you can sit and have a snack and glance outside at the gorgeous Icelandic scenery. Should also be great for seeing the aurora. The hotel staff is great and provide you with excellent tips for your travels (we got a great tip on where to purchase real quality wool garments, thanks again!)

This hotel is situated on Lake Myvatn, 3.3 km from Myvatn Nature Baths. A number of amenities including a bar and free WiFi are featured. Everything! From hot tub to room and facilities and service. Gave us connecting rooms which are awesome!! We love the functionality and sleek design.
