Right by the Okavango River. The sound of the river was soothing. Our rooms were overlooking the river, so is the restaurant. Clean and meticulous rooms, and friendly service from the staff. My kids begged to stay one more night but our itinerary was right.

Khan River Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Wilhelmstal. Featuring a bar, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Khan River Lodge is a secluded location, wild and highly scenic, surrounded by private land. It is about 20 km off the B2 road, which we did not quite realize until we got there. The drive itself is a lot of fun, as we saw lots of wildlife, but it is a mix of sand and dirt, challenging for smaller cars without 4WD. The property is cozy, with only about six double-occupancy units, of which we were occupying two (we were traveling as two adults and two older children). The "restaurant" is the lodge kitchen: two wonderful ladies preparing delicious meals and serving them in style. There is no posted menu, but the daily food offerings are artfully presented and tasty, based on local produce and meat. We did not realize we would be the only guests -- and we booked the self-catering option, counting on eating at the restaurant. We had booked self-catering options in other locations, but never realized how remote this one was. Upon arrival, we learned that the expectation for "self-catering" was that we would bring our own food and not need the restaurant. Since the property was just opening after the New Year holiday, they had to scramble a bit, but were kind enough to accommodate (read: feed) us. We loved the meals and the ambiance, the quiet, the lack of light pollution at night, the variety of wildlife roaming around the property, and the laid-back atmosphere -- self-service honesty bar, well-stocked and open to us at all hours.

Our Habitas Namibia is a sanctuary located on a 47,000-hectare private estate, 45 minutes from Hosea Kutako International Airport. It features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. Excellent breakfast and staff. Everything very organized and clean. Nice yoga classes. Amazing room and view. The safari was excellent. We saw lots of giraffes and animals. Everybody at the property always polite and helpful. Strongly recommended.

Bagatelle Kalahari Boutique Farmhouse Lodge has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Mariental. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. We loved every moment from arrival to departure. All the members of the staff were very welcoming and took a good care of our group. We were served delicious dinner, very good breakfast. The view was beautiful. Accommodation lodges are huge, luxury and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Out of Africa Town Lodge features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Otjiwarongo. Providing a bar, the property is located within 1.8 km of Otjiwarongo Crocodile Ranch. What a breath of fresh air after all the other stupid expensive Namibian rooms of much less quality.

SAROA Safari Lodge has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Nina. This 4-star hotel offers room service, luggage storage space and free WiFi. The peace and quiet. You really get to relax and enjoy nature.

Located in Sesriem, 43 km from Sesriem Canyon, Little Sossus Lodge provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Everything perfect and great place. On all the places that we visited in Namibia and Angola in this trip this one is the Jewel! The staff was excellent and the food - Great.

Situated in Windhoek, within less than 1 km of Alte Feste Museum and a 11-minute walk of Warehouse Theatre, Tenbergen Pension Hotel features accommodation with a restaurant and free WiFi throughout... Clean very large rooms. Restaurant just downstairs. Great for a first night before heading out on our road trip and for our last night before an early flight.
