Anton and his father were local teachers. When Anton's father retired, the villages gave him a piece of land on the river to build this resort. They hire local staff and operate a river cruise to see hippos, and maybe crocs. They do a fantastic job! High recommend this place!

Situato a Wilhelmstal, il Khan River Lodge offre un ristorante, una piscina all'aperto, un bar e un giardino. The location is remote, surrounded by a fantastic selection of wild-life. The grounds were immaculate! Even though most of the trees in the surrounding area are, what we call "Devil Thorn Trees", they were all raked away. The staff (shout out to Josie) were incredible. We were visiting with an infant and they made sure we were as comfortable as possible. I let the lodge know that we intended to braai (BBQ) the second night and they provided us with the braai drum as well as a bag of wood! 110% will be staying there again, next time for a week!
