Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, especially Marta.

Atami Sekaie is set in Atami, 2.6 km from Atami Sun Beach, 25 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, as well as 36 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. Probably the best hotel we ever stayed in. Outstanding view, staff goes above and beyond and the food was such high quality & beautifully arranged! We had breakfast and dinner (Kaiseki) twice and both was plenty (dinner around 7 courses?). We advise on coming hungry!

SOKI ATAMI features a sauna and a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Atami, 1.7 km from Atami Sun Beach. This 4-star ryokan offers a 24-hour front desk and a lift. This place is an absolute dream come true! Every detail was perfection, from the serene surroundings to the fantastic design. Loved strolling around with the provided pyjamas and the private onsen. The dinner was a wonderful culinary experience with top-quality ingredients. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Perfectly located near Atami, it's an ideal retreat. If I could, I'd give it more than 10 stars. Just perfect!

Set 10 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Yumeguri no Yado Yoshiharu offers 5-star accommodation in Izunokuni and has a garden. Very friendly staff. The old lady who served us was very kind and nice. This is the best onsen hotel that we had in our 2 weeks Japan trip. Thank you!

Facing the seafront, Izu Hokkawa Seaside Guesthouse 伊豆北川の家 is a ryokan providing a 2-star accommodation in Higashiizu. It features a private beach area, garden and private parking. The owner offered to drive me to a nearby 温泉 and pick me up again for only a small prize, so I did not have to take the train.

Located in Higashiizu in the Shizuoka Region, 1.8 km from Atagawa Hot Spring, Kissho Caren boasts a terrace and spa centre. Guests can enjoy the sunrise and views of Sagami Bay. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. Food quality was good and the onsen is perfect.

Situated in Shimoda, 40 km from Koibito Misaki Cape and 43 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Hoshi Meguri offers a terrace and air conditioning. Hoshi Meguri is an wonderful traditional hostel. The room was beautiful and spacious. The futon were extremely comfortable, even for a Westerner ! And the three private onsens are amazing to unwind Yurie & her husband were amazing hosts, kind, discreet yet really friendly. They prepared delicious and refined meals, brought up fresh ice tea regularly and kept my room always tidy. They were of good advice on what to do around. They offered a couple times to drive me to the train station and were of great help when a typhoon hit and I had to change all my plans. It’s definitely one of my best stays of all my travels in Japan. I hope to come back one day if I travel around Shimoda again!

The private Onsen was unbelievably huge and luxurious. Free drinks and light snacks offered at the lounge. They even washed your car FOC.

From start to finish, everything about our stay was flawless—I genuinely can’t imagine how it could have be any better. Writing this review is my way of saying a heartfelt thank you to Isaribi and its incredible staff for an unforgettable experience. Pre-Arrival: The Warmest Welcome The hospitality at Isaribi started long before we even arrived. From the moment I booked, the staff were in touch, making sure everything was tailored to us. They reached out to confirm our arrival time, offered to pick us up from the train station, and even asked about dietary preferences. When I mentioned that my father doesn’t like raw fish, they assured me they’d prepare cooked versions of all meals for him (and boy did they deliver—more on that later). Their kindness and attention to detail instantly put me at ease and set the tone for what was to come. Arrival and Check-In As promised, a staff member greeted us at the station and drove us to the ryokan. Upon arrival, we swapped our shoes for comfortable zori sandals—and to my relief, even my dad’s size 13 feet found sandals that fit perfectly. While we waited for our room to be ready, we were treated to matcha tea and Japanese sweets in the lobby. The airy sitting area had breathtaking sea views, and there was even a coffee and espresso machine available for guests to use anytime, with both proper cups and takeout options. It felt like they had thought of everything. The Room: A Perfect Blend of Tradition and Comfort We stayed in Room 206, which is their largest room, and it was nothing short of spectacular.
