Great service, all staffs are very friendly and hospitable. The room and property are well maintained, very clean. Japanese Breakfast is very good, a set meal with grilled fish. The highlight is of course the Keiseki dinner on first night and Saga Beef shabu shabu on second night. It is highly recommended for guest at this Ryokan to have at least one dinner meal during the stay.

Set in Ureshino and only 33 km from Huis Ten Bosch, 奥武雄温泉 風の森 offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Guests staying at this ryokan have access to a balcony. Oh my, what didn't I like. Everything was great, from the water in the onsen, the dinner, the breakfast, the staff. I really cannot complain about anything.

Situated 32 km from Huis Ten Bosch, Ureshino Yadoya offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as an open-air bath and a garden. It was a luxurious hotel in the Onsen town of Ureshino that completely blew us away. The rooms were large and spacious, very well appointed and well laid out. The staff were extremely attentive and there were lots common areas to relax in. The open air onsen and saunas were also well laid out. A bit on the expensive side but a great place to splurge once in a while!

Situated in Saga, Tsukasa Ryokan features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. Very clean. Good service. Cosy public bath..they had private bath which needed reservations.. Meals were very good.....location is beautiful. In the middle of the mountains....

Boasting an open-air bath and views of sea, Tara Dakeonsen Kanigoten is a recently renovated ryokan situated in Tara, 45 km from Peace Park. Room was clean, comfortable and huge with in room private onsen, bedroom and in room onsen with sea view, kaiseki seafood dinner and breakfast was excellent, staffs are friendly and helpful.

Urari Takeo Garden Terrace Spa Resorts offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 48 km of Yoshinogari Historical Park and 37 km of Huis Ten Bosch. Very attentive staff. Contemporary Ryokan esthetic. Huge rooms with lots of amenities. Nice Onsen. Nice complementary lounge. Excellent dinner and service. Had an early departure before breakfast- they packed a Bento Box for me to eat on the train. Facilities and service exceeded my expectations.

Mizuno Ryokan has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Karatsu, 200 metres from Nishinohama Beach. The 3-star ryokan is 47 km from Fukuoka Yahuoku! Dome. It was a perfectly manicured property and every room offered a breathtaking ocean view. Their kaiseki dinner was delicious and their service was to die for. We told them that we’re celebrating our husbands’ big birthday there and we’re what they’d come up with. They offered them a lovely birthday cake with traditional Japanese celebration attire for them to try on! We loved their care and wonderful hospitality.

Riverside Hotel Karatsu Castle offers accommodation in Karatsu. Rooms are furnished with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a fridge and an air cleaner/humidifier. First, this place is really great and an incredible bargain. It is located on the edge of the old castle grounds, only minutes walking to Karatsu Castle. The views of the river from the room and of the castle during breakfast are fabulous. The comfortable futons and quiet comforters were great. Our twin room had a small attached bathtub and toilet but we used the wonderful private ofuro each evening. We stayed in room 201, next to the wide staircase, above the ofuro bath. This room is the most protected from the sounds of road traffic but the din of road noise is still there some. I am a light sleeper and my wife and I slept great here! If you like Japanese style breakfasts then you will love it here. We walked through the nice pine forest down to the beach, as well as thoroughly exploring the castle. We had a great lunch at DonDonTei, down the street from Riverside. The value of where this inn is located and the quality of your stay are first class, in our book. After a month in Japan, this 2 night stay was truly one of our highlights!
