The dinner and personalized service was exceptional
As there was only 1 other person staying we were able to have our first onsen experience together which was fantastic

Property is surrounded by forest and next to a beautiful water fall and water hole. Very relaxing. The onsen pools and showers were clean and you could sit and listen to and admire the water fall from the damn while bathing. The host was very nice and accommodating. The meals were beautifully served and delicious. The furniture and decoration were beautiful. We are so glad we stumbled upon Takimi Onsen inn. We also loved the fact that we had our own private onsen and did not have to share with other guests. What an amazing onsen and culinary experience.

The location is outstanding. It has wonderful views and it is stunning during sunrise. Even during bad weather the misty mountains are magical. There is a private bath that people with tattoos can use. The breakfast was pretty good.
Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
OMG the food here was amazing!!!! We had the breakfast and dinner package- beautifully presented, delicious traditional Japanese food. The room in the guesthouse was great-tatami, futons and an amazing view. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The Japanese style tatamirooms are very comfortable and clean. You sleep on a futon and can use the yukata for sleeping, going to the restaurant or relaxing in your room and the hotel. The hotel is in the middle of Magome Juku and is run by nice people. If you stay here, definitely order the dinner set meal and breakfast set meal beforehand. It adds perfectly to the stay and the food is very delicious. The extra price you pay for the food is definitely worth it and good price and quality for value.
Beautiful setting. Traditional Ryokan. Comfortable futon mattresses.
Warm welcome with half board ( japanese cuisine).
Spotless. Traditional bathing facilities with a set bathtime
Helpful staff. They even transported our luggage and octogenarian Mum down the hill to the bus stop
The location is at the beginning trail of Magome to Tsumago. The tatami and futon is comfortable. The property is very clean. Even though the bath is sharing, we avoid the peak hour so that we can shower alone.
Beautiful location on the Nakasendo. Traditional tatami and futons, delicious Japanese dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff who gave us excellent advice about hiking trails.
Right in the centre of Magome. As a Ryokan it was very comfortable. The shared bathroom was easily accessible and never busy. Basically had it to myself when using it. The room was warm and futon bed comfortable. We ate dinner in their restaurant and it was excellent. The host spoke very good English and was very friendly.
Great place to stay if you are looking for a Ryokan kind of experience minus the onsen. The location is right in the middle of town. The room was old style with a tatami. Order dinner and breakfast because the experience is worth it and there is nothing open around town.
Nice and comfortable Ryokan.
Common showers (locked with a code for ladies) and toilets are very clean and convenient.
The common area downstairs with free tea and coffee is spacious and ideal for groups of friends who want to hang out before heading back to their rooms.
We enjoyed the tatami room with comfy futons.
Located in the middle of Magome, we stayed in an old traditional Japanese inn. The room was cosy with tatami mats and foldable beds. Our room had an on-Suite toilet. The views were nice. Japanese dinner and breakfast were included and delicious. Already an experience in its own.
There was an onsen bath which was nice (it was organised with a time slot for privacy). You could have normal showers in the morning too.
The staff were lovely.
Everything was well organised.
