Iris Yu, a property with a garden, is situated in Hiraizumi, less than 1 km from Motsuji Temple, 2.2 km from Chuson-ji Temple, as well as 5.6 km from Takkoku Seikou-ji Temple.

The inn is centrally located, within walking distance of the railway station, several restaurants and some of the main Hiraizumi sights. There's free parking on-site and everything is kept very clean, including the shared bathrooms. The staff are discrete, we hardly saw them but they were readily available when needed. The house is a beautiful old Ryokan in the classic manner. Tatamy, beautiful woodwork, in a quiet country location. A convenient train hop from Ichinoseki. In the the owner was helpful and cheerful. The kitchen is very convenient and well set up. We recommend an early morning walk up the country road it’s on.
