Facing the beachfront, The Mora Zanzibar offers 5-star accommodation in Matemwe and has a garden, terrace and bar. I liked everything about this resort. Everyone was attentive and kind. The facilities, pools, restaurants were all great.

Situated in Bwejuu, a few steps from Bwejuu Beach, Mayai Ocean Resort features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We had a fabulous stay at Mayai. The resort was beautiful, right by a calm and serene beach, the staff were super kind and friendly, facilities were great and food was delicious. We loved hanging at the restaurant and looking out into the beach. Would recommend 10/10 to anyone visiting Zanzibar. Special mention to the owner Mr Tord and our guide Mr Seif who made the trip extra special for us. I cannot be thankful enough to Mr Tord for his thoughtful recommendations, for preparing the staff ahead of our trip, and helping me curate the tours suited to my child. Mr Seif took us around, made sure we experienced the local culture and food, and he personally took us snorkeling as my daughter and I cannot swim. It was my daughter’s first snorkeling experience and I’m grateful to him for swimming with us and ensuring our safety. He speaks excellent English so communication was very easy, do ask for him when you’re in Zanzibar. Overall a wonderful trip and we’ll definitely be going back!

Located in Jambiani, less than 1 km from Jambiani Beach, Zen Boutique Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. We loved Zen Boutique so much! We felt extremely welcome and the staff were all wonderful. We were given a lot of information and offered support in organising activities. Our suitcase was lost and the staff took care of the communication with the airport, making sure our luggage arrived at destination. The Resort is beautiful and located on the edge of the forest. It was very special, especially during sunset. The food and cocktails were also very good and breakfast amazing. It all feels very new and is decorated with taste. The outside bathroom was also a very cool experience. Best place we stayed in Zanzibar, and there were quite a few. We’ll definitely be back!

Facing the beachfront, Kijani Beach Villas offers 1-star accommodation in Bwejuu and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and shared lounge. Amazing location and staff. The villa was very large and comfortable - particularly the outdoor space. The staff where so friendly and accommodating. The manager and owner made sure all of our needs were met - at our request they made activity and restaurant recommendations and coordinated tour guides/reservations. It is a small hotel - staff knew my name and preferences and made me feel welcome.

The One Resort Zanzibar has a restaurant, fitness centre, a bar and garden in Makunduchi. This 4-star hotel offers a private beach area, a concierge service and free WiFi. The breakfast and location were great.
