Select Braemar Lodge & Spa is a luxurious lodge nestled in the foothills of the Southern Alps, close to the village of Hanmer Springs.

All suites include an open-plan sleeping and living area with LCD TV, gas fire and super-king size beds. Guests can pamper themselves in the marble bathroom with double spa bath and double shower. All suites have a private balcony, many with a hot tub. This was one of the best value for money stays in nz. The room was amazing. Breakfast was great. The view just the best.

Brinkley Resort Methven is 3 minutes’ drive from the Methven Racecourse and Methven Golf Course. Mount Hutt is a 30-minute drive, and Christchurch International Airport is an 80-minute drive away. Great facilities, clean and well-supplied rooms. We stayed here before and had wifi issues, so it was really nice to find they had improved the wifi. Love the tennis court, although it could do with some maintenance work.

Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also welcomes guests with a restaurant, a water park and an outdoor fireplace. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Two bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. No Kitchen but that's clear in the listing details so no drama. They provide microwave and fridge, hot water kettle, toaster and some plates and bowls so we were able to make simple breakfast. Lovely stay! Will come again!

Peppers Bluewater Resort is a 4.5-star hotel close to the shores of Lake Tekapo. This resort offers luxury accommodation, great views and is ideally positioned for exploring the Mackenzie Basin and Southern Alps. It is a 10-minute walk from the Church of the Good Shepherd. Excellent breakfast. Incredible room with view over the lake. Really relaxing stay.

Methven Resort is just a 5-minute walk from the heart of Methven and a 3-minute drive from Methven Golf Club. Christchurch is a 1-hour and 10-minute drive away.

All heated rooms feature a flat-screen TV, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Also on offer ironing facilities and a bathroom. Excellent cosy clean room, deep bath, friendly staff , breakfast ,peacefull setting, very relaxing
