Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance. Yakaduru Lodge is an amazing place to visit. We enjoyed a fantastic safari and saw many elephants bathing in the lake and playing. On Yala roads, we were thrilled to see leopards in their natural habitat. We had tea on the rocks during an amazing sunset, which was a breathtaking experience. At night, we participated in a Hoppers Night with the staff, where we cooked and enjoyed colorful hoppers together. The accommodation plan at Yakaduru is very traditional and sustainable. The views from the rooms are stunning, and the whole place has a great vibe. We felt like we were living in a traditional Sri Lankan village with many little houses. You might think it’s not good or too traditional when you look at them from the outside, but the rooms have all the modern facilities you need. We highly recommend Yakaduru for everyone. It’s a wonderful experience that combines the beauty of nature with the charm of traditional Sri Lankan culture.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Four Chalets Yala is situated in Tissamaharama, 9 km from Tissa Wewa. Very nice place. Good value. Amazing room. It s tough to find a nice middle range hotel in Sri Lanka but this one is up there. Fast internet. Good breakfast (go with the Sri Lankan)

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a saltwater pool, garden view and a balcony, Kingfisher Beach Resort-Yala is situated in Kirinda. Nice location - just few steps from the beach. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. AC was working great, hot water system also. Room has protection against insects, so nothing gets inside the room. Owner is super helpful, showed us the hotel, beach and surrounding area. He can also arrange the safari for you. There is a restaruant in the hotel serving tasty seafood (we had fresh lobsters). Definitely a great spot! Fully recommended for everyone!

Located in Kataragama, 13 km from Situlpawwa, The Boundary Yala provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Spacious clean AC rooms very close to Yala’s Katagamuwa entrance. We had our own front porch in a very peaceful private garden setting. The owner and host, Kapila, took care of all our needs, and arranged our full day safari for the next morning. He is a retired environmental journalist who knows plenty about all the SL national parks,especially Yala and the animals. We had an excellent safari driver and jeep. Kapila accompanied us on the safari which was a treat because he shared all his knowledge of the past, present and future of Yala, as well as all the details of every bird, mammal, reptile, insect we saw. The host family cooked us a most delicious homemade meal of rice and curry/fruits and cold beers. Just make sure you let Kapila know that you will want dinner beforehand, and anything else you want. I highly recommend boundary yala for your yala safari and stay. We enjoyed our time there and saw everything and learned a lot about the animals.

Uga chena huts were like a heaven on earth. Amazing scenery, amazing ambience , amazing eco friendly architecture , amazing team to take care of you and pamper you with attention and great food presented in Michelin star way. The hotel in the midst of national forest with private jacuzzi pool overlooking the forest was a treat. The care provided by staff was heart touching . Every small details were taken care of making the stay really memorable

Such a wonderful property and location. Full of wild life. The price is much more reasonable than the other ones close by. We’d come back here anytime and would stay for longer than just the one day that we booked. Staff were all amazing, helpful and friendly. Elephants wander around which was a pleasant surprise. Kids loved it.
