I got a surprise birthday cake and song from the staff, even though I just briefly mentioned about it the day before. I also got upgraded to the better room due to the lack of customers at the hotel. They also organize tuk-tuk for your arrival free of charge which is a nice touch and makes your first hour in Cambodia much easier.

Only 800 metres from the lively Pub Street, Lynnaya Urban River Resort is a beautifully furnished property located in the heart of Siem Reap. My wife and I stayed 5 days at Lynnaya. We could not have chosen a better place. The only thing more beautiful than the lush grounds and our private bungalow was the staff. Asst Mgr Soksan was particularly nice and helpful both before and during our stay. He arranged our grand, 2-day Angkor tour with the friendly, funny and highly knowledgeable guide Theara. We will always remember how the staff members effortlessly combined a natural kindness and grace with their high level of service. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. Well done, Lynnaya!
