We really enjoyed our stay at Fota island. We were looked after by Beverley who checked us in and out. That girl is an absolute credit to the resort. Very helpful and after what ended up being a very long adventure due to the weather cheered us up and got me and my partner back into vacation mode. Great lady. Pool, sauna and rooms i couldn’t fault. Would 100 percent recommend.
Skibbereen
This stunning, 163 acre estate includes beautiful gardens, a 40-acre lake, and the fantastic Sky Garden crater. Fresh home cooking is provided, and guests can enjoy canoeing on the lake.
Spacious and bright, each room in the historic country house offers scenic views of the surrounding parkland or gardens. Our 26 guest rooms all include en-suite and are located in the Manor, its adjacent Mews and the Lake House which is a short drive from our Manor House. Guest can relax with a flat-screen TV and free tea and coffee.
The estate was beautiful and the grounds around it. Very relaxing but a lot of uphill, although there are trails here and there to take you back to the manor house. We stayed at Lake House, this building was a bit far by foot if you have to walk in the dark but signs were wellplaced. The tiny gym was okay overlooking the lake, very relaxing view even while "running". Everything is locally produced or bought from nearby farms so very fresh produce. The staff were amazing, answering all my questions and never a problem with dietary issues from my side (being lactose intolerant). One of the waitresses from dinner even ran out to the garden to get fresh mint for me when my tummy was upset. Rooms were big in size and bathroom was huge with a big shower and bathtub, spotless at arrival.
Great location and beautiful view of the harbour. it is only a short walk to town and the harbour (if doing the Ferry Tour to Fastnet). Delicious breakfast and outstanding service.
Location, views, kindness, friendly..Luxury feeling in every area. Food beautifully prepared. Peace and tranquility. Places to go. Helpful advice. Little details: binoculars to watch birds, bathroom has everything and welcome chocolate!!
Absolutely everything especially the hosts who made us feel more welcome than any other B and B during our month long stay in Ireland and the UK the breakfast and attention to detail was much better than anywhere else. We felt like we were in a 5 Star resort the little extras were very appreciative like a Baileys might cap when we arrived back from dinner totally unexpected but appreciated. The breakfast was divine fresh berries yoghurt juice nuts and a cooked breakfast I wish I could put a photo up but it doesn’t seem that I can

It’s centrally located, the studio is honestly outstanding, a space straight out of a magazine. Every inch of the room is designed for luxury with a great view.
Centrality of the accommodation was beneficial to our requirements due to the close proximity to fota resort. Immaculate inside and out with amazing views from the balcony. Highly recommend and will definitely book again. 👌A+++
