It's a really really nice property. Rooms, pool area, restaurant - all feel like 5 star hotel. I travel monthly and seen million of hotels, this one is one of the best. Ocean view and big balcony in the room. Everything you need. Breakfast is a separate story... Biggest and nicest I ever seen. Champaign and bloody Mary station included!

The staff were very helpful. The pools were very nice and it was steps away from the beach. It was within walking distance of several stores and restaurants. The breakfast buffet had many good options and the rooms were clean and spacious.
Facing the beachfront, Caldera Beach offers 4-star accommodations in Platanias and has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center and garden.

We had a great time here! The room was spotless and the staff super friendly and helpful. Our room was not huge but spacious enough for our two suitcases. The ocean water is clean, the beach is also as clean as it gets with so many people. The food is good and changes every day - there is a different theme each day of the week. The all inclusive drinks were also fine. There were two live events while we were there (one DJ and one singer) which was fun even though the hotel bars close at 11pm. We received a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a small cake for my boyfriends birthday in our room, which was a gesture we highly appreciated. But our personal highlight were the pool cats, a small group of friendly (and some shy) cats who were chilling in the pool area all day. They wouldn't bother anyone but were happy about cuddles and attention. There was also a friendly cat on the beach who frequently visited us. All in all, we would absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone.

A great place to come and chill out
The food was really good and varied day by day, always were nice dishes to choose during the whole day. (All inclusive we had)
Animation programs during the day were nice, my special favourite were the aqua fitness occassions and the Circus show in the evening, I would definitely keep that. The resort overall was really clean.

Residents of the Village Resort have access to the Beach&Spa Resort's pools and the pool bar. You can also ask to have a lunch or dinner in their all-inclusive restraurant (different from the a la carte restraurant). The view from that restraurant is fantastic, so I highly recommend going there. The food selection is also better than in the Village Resort.
It is great you can use the pools at the spa resort over the road too. Amazing location, clean rooms. Best part of this hotel is the staff they are sooo nice!
I had a sea facing suite, and the views were just amazing, even better than the views from many four star beach resorts. My stay was so peaceful and waking up to the sound of sea waves was heavenly. I wish I could stay here for a few more days. The Kitchenette had all the basic amenities to cook a simple meal. I also loved the private terrace. It was quite large and had privacy. Maria was also very responsive and super-professional.
It was right on the beach as advertised, nice pools and balcony, good breakfast buffet, good service and helpful staff, well located for exploring western crete. It's the kind of place that checks all the boxes for a beachfront resort but each element is just okay, fine, good enough. They upgraded us to all inclusive for our last day, which was generous of them, and fun for our kids.
