Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort (Adults Only), hotel in Arutanga

Exclusively situated on its own private island, this luxury resort offers the only overwater bungalows in the Cook Islands, offering prime views of Aitutaki Lagoon, one of the world’s most beautiful...

We had a truly wonderful stay at Aitutaki Private Lagoon Resort. The resort itself was stunning, but it was the exceptional service from the hotel staff that made our experience truly memorable. A special thanks to Jennifer for her warmth and attentiveness, and to Wise, Mera, and Pati for their outstanding hospitality. The restaurant staff also deserves praise for their ambient personalities and excellent service. Every detail was handled with remarkable care. Thank you for making our time here so special!

Paradise Cove Lodge, hotel in Arutanga

Located on a white sandy beach beneath coconut palm trees, Paradise Cove offers traditionally thatched self-contained bungalows on the beach front.

Pretty solid accommodation on Aitutaki. The location of the bungalows right on the beach is amazing. The beach out the front was lovely as well with a break in the coral perfect for swimming. The staff were very helpful, we arrived really early on the morning and they got us all checked in a few hours earlier than the 1pm check in time. We also hired a scooter through reception which was very seamless.

Location is ideal, the cabins are thoughtfully well appointed. You can snorkel/swim directly from the front of the property, cabin has kitchen & bbq for self catering or a couple of restaurants at resorts either side of the property are a close & easy walk if you prefer to dine out. An electric scooter was also available for guest use with no charge along with kayaks & SUPs. Airport welcome & transfers were seemless & staff were friendly.

This is not a resort , but if you want peace and quiet, all the facilities you need, the best location on the island with good snorkeling and a kayak, then this is the place. Self catering and handy (with transport) to facilities (two minutes to airport). Most people don't know it's there. Helpful owners (off site) but a daily check by friendly and pleasant Ngarie. These comments made after several visits.

Great location. Found the staff friendly and helpful. Good pickup and drop off to airport and also ran us to shop for supplies before checking us in. Also given advice on places to eat locally. Bar open on Wednesday night and a pleasant evening for drinks and lovely meal. This is not luxury accommodation but good value for basic accommodation in a place where other places to stay are pretty pricey

Aitutaki Lagoon Resort is absolutely incredible. It exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The food, the drinks, prices are very reasonable, the accommodation is luxury (we stayed in an Overwater bungalow for 3 nights and a beachside bungalow for 1). The people there are beautiful and made us feel very welcome. The resort itself is incredible and has everything you need, including kayaks, SUP, snorkel gear, bikes. We had the best time here and will be coming back and would recommend it to anyone.

Casual Luxury is the perfect way to describe this lovely family owned resort. The food was the best we had in Aitutaki and Rarotonga. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Casual luxury is exactly what you get . Great location, great food , great service. Nothing was a problem. We spent 7 nights in a Beachfront Bungalow. Room 202 . Although all the bungalows look great and are located well it was worth the extra to be right on the beachfront. Having a beautiful breakfast included is fantastic and with either continental and / or full cooked al acarte it certainly sets you up for the day ! Don’t bother looking elsewhere, Tamanu Beach Resort is where you need to be 😊.Look forward to a return visit soon.
