Morning view down to the sea, as the mists clear, is spectacular! Springbok, Steenbok and Ostrich are among the wildlife you begin to see here, along with the variety and abundance of bird activity at the extraordinary Buffels Riverhead!

As we arrived, we were offered a selection of juice at the counter. They assisted with luggage and we even got to choose which room we preferred (of what was still available). Upington is a beautiful small city in the Northern Cape and a hub for the sweet grape industry of the Orange River. The location is superb. This hotel group is absolutely wonderful for the Northern Cape as they offer a pool, restaurant and conference centre.
We stayed in the mountain suite - beautiful structures in a wonderful setting. The suites and how there are decorated really allow you to have an off grid getaway. Bring a good book, a good bottle of wine, fill the magnificent tub and just relaxxx! Friendly and helpful staff! Plenty of nice food and drinks :)

Beautiful restored home. Had the old privy. Room #9 outside building facing the pool. Spacious bathroom and excellent A/C - needed with temps 37-38C. Excellent breakfast in lovely dining room. Will return in the next few years when return to visit family.

This a wonderful place to add to Kgalagadi visit. Staff and ranger very friendly and knowledgable. The view is amazing. This is the place to relax and enjoy the desert, with no pressure. Would highly recommend to add this to a visit the area.
