Everything you can imagine available at the Cottage and the trust of the owner is much appreciated. Rowena and neighbour Wilfred welcomed us warmly. Morning view down to the sea, as the mists clear, is spectacular! Springbok, Steenbok and Ostrich are among the wildlife you begin to see here, along with the variety and abundance of bird activity at the extraordinary Buffels Riverhead!

We really appreciated that the family rooms have a room within them with the children's room, which helps a lot with getting the child to bed and also provides more privacy for parents. We also appreciated that there are people serving breakfast, rather than a serve-yourself buffet. Excellent facilities, including a very nice lounge with a pool table and an poolside area with table tennis. Don't miss the excellent mining museum at the back.

Located just 5 km from the Vioolsdrift Border Control to Namibia, Frontier River Resort offers a unique escape overlooking the Orange River in South Africa. Beautifully located overlooking the Oranje Rivier. The luxury tents are new, clean and furnished with an excellent bed, quality linen, mini-fridge, A/C and coffee/tea amenities. Ideally situated for daytrips to the Richtersveld area or rafting on the river. The hosts are lovely and welcoming. Breakfast & dinner were of very high standard. It was a delight staying here 😊!

From the moment you arrive at the property you are spoilt with great views and hospitality. The accommodation was excellent, comfortable stay with everything we needed and beautifully decorated. Dinner was the best we’ve had on our trip, every dish was delicious. Would highly recommend Naries Namakwa Retreat!
