The lodge is equipped with a double bed, a working desk, a wardrobe, a kitchen and a bathroom. We especially liked the incredible view from the terrace. Ingrid was an amazing host, she was very caring and helpful. She booked great tours in the reserves around the area for us.

Situated in the Amakala Big Five Game Reserve, Bush Lodge offers an intimate lodge experience. It features an outdoor swimming pool, viewing deck and a number of game drives and bush walks. The entire stay from, the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, was a joy. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Jono was a fabulous safari ranger - we enjoyed three wonderful excursions with him- he's a wealth of information, is extremely enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge, is friendly and a joy to spend time with. Kayla welcomed us and ensured we were well taken care of our entire trip. The food was good, the rooms were fabulous! My favorite luxury was the hot bath which was drawn and awaiting us after each safari.... if I could only train my family to do this at home... ha ha! I would highly recommend Bush Lodge - and would love to return someday!

Located in the Amakhala Game Reserve, this lodge is set on the banks of Bushman’s River. It features an outdoor pool and luxurious tented chalets with panoramic views of the plains. Hillsnek exceeded our expectations in every way and gave us an absolutely unforgettable experience. The staff ensured we had a truly special stay that was shared with the other small number of guests. The tents are beautiful and expertly combine luxury with a unique safari feel, overlooking the wilderness and expanse of Amakhala, from the large deck out the front back and side of the tent. All drinks and meals are included and two game drives are included per day (early morning and late afternoon). The drives and guides were amazing, we had so many exciting encounters with the animals, including lion, cheetah, elephant, rhino, antelopes, giraffe and many more. Would recommend at least a three night stay here to make the most of everything this wonderful place has to offer.

Easy to get to from PLZ, amazing staff, beautiful property and cabins, every meal was A+, and the game drives were so fun. Can’t say enough good things. And it’s worth saying again — EVERY member of the staff we interacted with was top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, true pros.
