This was the perfect stay in Cat Ba. It was a very short 5 minute walk to the center but was in a quiet street away from the noise. The rooms were very quiet and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good and plentiful. Jenny was absolutely amazing. One of the kindest and most helpful hosts I’ve met in Vietnam. She booked an overnight cruise in Lan Ha bay for me as well as a half day trip to Cat Ba National park. If you are in cat ba I highly recommend this place!!

Amazing stay, we loved it so much that we extended our trip. Wonderful family-run establishment with some of the best home cooked food in all of Vietnam. Friendly and helpful host with great English as well. It’s a bit out of town but it’s well worth it for its “country side” ambience. It’s also only 15 min scooter ride in to town and 6 min to Cat Ba National Park. My partner and I had a private room and it was very spacious and came with its own bathroom.
The front desk staff went out of their way to provide excellent recommendations and support. Renting a scooter to visit Cat Ba National Park was a great adventure. The hotel's new facilities and friendly service made our stay enjoyable.
This was probably the best hostel we’ve stayed in during three months travelling in the region. It’s very new so everything is in perfect condition, but it’s also all very well thought out. Plenty of storage space in the dorms, nice warm reading lights and good thick curtains around the beds to block out light. Bathrooms are great - very clean, with nice, powerful (and hot if you want) showers. The staff are also wonderful. Toby at the front desk is smiley, warm and always happy to help. Pa Pa in the restaurant/bar is such a beautiful soul and made us feel so welcome every time we walked in the room. The rest of the staff whose names I sadly don’t know made our stay that much better - always smiling and making us feel like we were staying in more than “just” a hostel. Thank you Toby, Pa Pa and everyone else in the team for everything you do!
