Durham is a quiet, charming and historic town with a university. It is centrally located for visiting and sight seeing in southern New Hampshire. Don't miss the historic waterfront area where there is a small park with picnic tables on the tidal Oyster River with a footbridge and historic markers about the origins of the town. We stayed and ate at the Three Chimneys Inn which is in a charming restored house built in 1649. Highly recommended for history buffs and for those seeking an out-of-the-way spot in scenic rural New Hampshire, but with quick access to Portsmouth, Kittery and nearby beaches and shopping.
Nashua is the perfect place to stay when visiting New Hampshire. We were located a minute from the mall, lots of restaurants and grocery stores. There was lots of shopping around us and only a 20 minute drive to the Merrimack Outlet Mall. We took the kids to Canobie Lake Park which was a short 30 minute drive. That was the most amazing park. We will be making that a yearly trip every summer from this point on. It was worth every penny and we spent a full !! hours there and could have stayed longer but it closed. We also drove to Gillette Stadium down in Foxboro for a soccer game. It was about an hours drive from our hotel. Nashua is located in a very central location. You could drive to Boston or Kittery within 45 minutes so there is more than enough to do. We couldn't do half of all the things we wanted to do because there just wasn't enough time.
North Conway is a great location in New Hampshire especially in the fall. You can get to Mount Washington by road or Cog Railway. There are a lot of other attractions as well.
Ashland is a small New Hampshire village ideal for short stays during touring holidays in New Hampshire and neighbouring states. There is a great restaurant about 3/4 mile from the Comfort Inn, the Common Man, it's a great place for dinner with lots of choices of good quality dishes. We haven't stayed in the winter season but Ashland is close to good ski areas.
Lincoln itself is well situated for entry to the New Hampshire National State Park, and has a good visitor centre and facilities, but it is not a pretty place, so staying just outside it is fine. It is a much better centre than crowded North Conway, which seems to be one long traffic line.
Lively and friendly town surrounded by stunning scenery. A short drive in any direction takes you into the wilds of New Hampshire. We travelled in mid October when the leaf peeping was at its best. Absolutely beautiful views wherever you looked. Plenty to see and do. Great choice of reasonably priced restaurants.
It's a nice town and a good in-between for when I visit New Hampshire to see my son. However, it's a college town so things are a bit more expensive.
The area of North Conway has so much to offer no matter what time of year you go, centrally located for all the areas we enjoy in New Hampshire.
If you're coming to New England do not buy anything until you get to New Hampshire. If you are going to the white mountains call in to North Conway and visit settlers mall. Not only is it the biggest mall in New England but you don't pay taxes in New Hampshire
This New Hampshire town is beautiful and lots to do. We stayed in the Snowflake Inn for two nights ( originally only one) in the Fall and would definitely stay longer next time. I think a visit around Christmas time would be magical.
Jackson is an awesome little town in New Hampshire, with amazing views. The people at The Shannon Pub we're very inviting, and you can tell it's a very close nit community, which only adds to the experience. The hotel was great, as well, providing 2 separate heating options; a fire place and central air unit. It also had a hot tub/spa bath and a reading light, which I thought was a nice touch.
I did not have the breakfast...seemed expensive. The location was just ok. It seemed like it was on the edge of town with nothing interesting nearby. But this was a very short trip and I mainly had to spend my time in Exeter, which was about 30 miles away from this hotel in Manchester, New Hampshire. The availability of food was on limited hours in the hotel and not much walkable from there.
The property is located on Lake Winnipesaukee with convenient access to a local beach and marina. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were within walking distance to the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, so we were able to walk to a concert there and avoid the long delays of trying to exit the parking lot after the sold out Noah Kahan concert we attended.

All the things you want in a hotel stay....great breakfast, comfortable bed in beautiful, clean room, quiet street and really helpful, informative host. A great location too for all New Hampshire has to offer. Take the owners great advice and eat at The Common Man, we loved the place and the food.
Great location beautiful for fall, golf course is small but nice and really friendly staff. Very classic looking 100 year old plus New Hampshire hotel. Dated furniture, but very comfortable and great setting. Bonus nice 1 mile height just outside the parking lot
Good location in Portsmouth, which is a great city to stroll around the boutique shops, port and soak up a little history. More economical than other hotels along the south Maine/New Hampshire coast. Breakfast included.
North Conway
Super charming, cozy and beautiful option for visiting New Hampshire. The team is also super friendly and kind. Also, just close to the hotel there’s a pub with wonderful IPA beers. Definitely a place to return.
The hotel itself looks like a castle. Then when you enter the building you're treated like royalty. They are beyond friendly and helpful. I won't stay anywhere else when in New Hampshire.
The room was comfortable, clean, the staff were friendly and polite, and the hotel was in a convenient location near Manchester Airport, The Mall of New Hampshire, and several restaurants.
The hotel is very conveniently located right off the first exit New Hampshire. The front desk is helpful in checking in and when I needed linen, they swapped it out with me.
The hotel was central to the things that i came to New Hampshire to experience. The breakfast was NOT the best, but our room had a kitchen so we cooked our own.
Hotel is in a neatly good shape. Could not complain about anything that is to be expected. And it was surprisingly silent, like really new hampshire silent :)
