Lucky to find this one on arrival in Bar Harbor in peak leaf peeping season. If you like history, this place is for you. Two town houses beautifully converted into bed and breakfast accommodation with historic furniture and hiding away just behind the main street. Staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful, especially Marina (all the way from Serbia) and Walker. Breakfasts are cooked to order - very nice and original but not contemporary US breakfasts. Forget the brick, glass and concrete hotels and come and stay here. Highly recommended.

Located in central Bar Harbor, this hotel is 6.4 km from Sand Beach and 2.2 km from Acadia National Park. The hotel serves a complimentary deluxe breakfast each morning. it was great value and the staff was phenomenal. The breakfast good with different choices to have. It was great to sit in the rockers out front of the hotel drinking tea. I highly recommend this property to stay at. The bonus was having a laundry facility that has courtesy detergent and Snuggles

This Mount Desert Island property, offering panoramic views of Frenchman Bay, is within a 10-minute drive of Acadia National Park. It features a spa, heated indoor and outdoor pools and free Wi-Fi. What breakfast? I paid $63 for it at the looking glass. The pool was beautiful, clean, and with plenty of chairs.

The beds were so comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was yummy and the staff was really helpful with everything that we needed.

Atlantic Eyrie Lodge is set in Bar Harbor, within 2.4 km of Agamont Park and a 15-minute walk of Acadia National Park. It was spacious and very nicely located

The location was perfect for us to drive into Bar Harbor for dinner and then drive to Acadia the next morning. Location was quiet and felt remote even though we were only a few miles from Bar Harbor.
