The landscape is also just amazing, very different during low tides. Except of staying in the hotel, you can walk along the beach both ways to Bwejuu or Jambiani, which we did. And in our opinion Paje has the best beach with clean ocean floor and water. Also, it is not crowded like in Kendwa, for example, which we visited one day. Staff speaks different languages and is veeeeery helpful and friendly! They can help you to organise you an excursion, if you need it. Even a loud music from a neighbour hotel on Wednesday wasn't too loud. If you use ear plugs, you can easily fall asleep. :) We'd stay in the resort again!

We stayed there 2 nights, only 1 would be more than enough. There's a really nice beach and some good restaurants. Since we saw other parts of zanzibar and did all the activities, kiwengwe didn't had much to offer beside the beach and friendly dogs 😊 If you want just to stay on the beach than this is your place.
Super zmogljivosti, velike sobe z velikimi posteljami, bazena s pogledom na morje, restavracija ob plaži, dobra lokacija, bližina night marketa s stojnicami s hrano... Zaradi bližine lokacije je hotel super za začetek ali konec potovanja po Zanzibarju. Ker smo imeli letalo za domov šele zvečer, smo lahko uporabljali zmogljivosti še cel dan.

Izredno dobra lokacija, saj je hotelskemu osebju uspelo doseči čudovito povezanost z lokalno skupnostjo in lahko občutiš dejanski utrip Zanzibarja, saj hotel ni ograjen z viskimi zidovi:). Masaji, ki te spremljajo na vsakem koraku, pa so ko jih spoznaš, prav vesel/nasmejan dogodek vsakega dne.

My experience at Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa was undoubtedly the pinnacle of my Zanzibar hotel experiences, featuring what is unquestionably the best beach on the island. Unlike other hotel beaches visited during our trip, including those in Nungwi, here we could enjoy swimming at any time, regardless of the tide’s whims, which was a true delight. The dining experience at Gold Zanzibar was unparalleled, with each dinner made even more special by planned nightly live music and performances that added an unforgettable ambiance. However, it was the extraordinary staff that truly set this experience apart. Among them, Baraza stood out for his extreme politeness, helpfulness, and attentiveness, embodying the exceptional level of service that makes Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa not just a hotel, but a memorable experience. We really had a great stay at Mapenzi Beach Resort. Staff was always very kind, very authentic and open-hearted. Menu was very rich in variety and very delicious. Live barbecue every day, delicious pasta, salads and local food. We had a beach villa first row at the beach, which was beautiful. We made several trips, snorkeling, dolphins, reef tour and safari - which can easily be booked at the hotel (way more expensive) or at the very kind local sales people at the beach, which will arrange whatever you wish. By far our favorite hotel. We booked the garden view pool villa for 1 day and visited during our honeymoon. They organized a surprise for us with candles and flowers which made us so happy. All stuff were genuine and helpful. Breakfast and dinner was unreal and during dinner we had live music playing cocktails were very good as well. The main pool was very unique and the pool in our room was bigger than what I imagined. The rooms were very luxurious and beautiful. Also, when my husband had a sunburn, they brought us the hotel's doctor to check on him which we appreciated a lot. We had a great stay and thank you very much for this!

We had an amazing stay at Kendwa Rocks Hotel and loved everything about it! Positives: 1. The location and beach are breathtaking, and the option to enjoy services at the beach beds is a great touch. 2. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. 3. There are plenty of activities to choose from, making the stay fun and engaging. 4. We stayed in two suites, both of which were fantastic—well-equipped and very comfortable. 5. The entire property felt safe, which added to our peace of mind. 6. Even the shisha team was friendly and added to the relaxed vibe.
