I stayed in the dorm as a solo traveller, and it is the most spacious dorm I ever stayed in! it was really comfortable and clean. it’s pretty close to the center and beaches so you can walk around, and the area is safe, with good security at the house too. the owner Allie is so kind and helpful if you ever have any questions, and she is great to talk to as well. I had amazing breakfast each morning, very vegan friendly! everything was perfect, from the staff to the accomodation, and i really recommend this place to stay in Bagamoyo

Firefly is located in Bagamoyo, 37 mi north of Dar es Salaam. The guest house has an outdoor pool and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. The food and staff are exceptional! We really had a fabulous weekend! We travelled with our two children (6 and 2) and they really enjoyed the outside and pool area. The prices are really also very good, and they staff really go beyond to make your stay memorable. When you are there, try the stuffed chicken, I think I would have eaten the plate too if I could chew it, it was THAT GOOD! We really enjoyed Bagamoyo as a whole, next time we are trying their Zanzibar property.
