.The favourite places were at the crocodile ranch as well as at the kaole historical sites. .We ate mostly at the millennium sea breeze hotel .Yes it is easy to move and get around bagamoyo. .Delays in making the hotel booking to ensure availability of more specious and luxurious rooms.
Found it to be over rated. Pay a lot for what you get. Lots litter on beach. Pizza at Poa Poa cafe great. Good at New Bagamoyo Beach Resort good.
Tanzanian governement want to invest in Bagamoyo and it s a good choice because ot s a beautiful place but without tourism
It is laid back, atmospheric and most probably could not compare with Stone Town in Zanzibar, but I like it! Nice drop off point if driving from up north and don't want to arrive in Dar too late in the day. Have a few days in Bagamoyo instead to freshen up and get into the coast frame of mind.

The hotel offers a lot of cosy places to relax inside and outside the building. The staff are very helpful and the food is just great. Staying in this historical building in the centre of Bagamoyo gives you a good feeling for this place and its history.
