Overall, Lushan is a very interesting area. Once upon a time, it was obviously a vibrant hot spring resort town but now it sits empty. Typhoons and landslides have led the government to condemn most of the buildings. The closed hotels are filled with rocks silt. Shops are trying their hardest to keep going. It's hard to imagine a recovery for this area, despite the immutable soothing natural hot springs. What a fascinating tale. Definitely worth a visit, but not on a rainy day.
