Sun Moon Lakeside Boutique Hotel more than exceeded our expectations. We booked the day before arriving after deciding last minute to visit Sun Moon Lake. We booked 2 rooms, 1 of which had lake views which were amazing. The whole place was immaculate and clean, very well equipped and comfortable. The beds were also very big. I am recommending this place to everyone as it more than exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

歸璞泊旅 Hotel Beore features free bikes, seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge and restaurant in Yuchi. Conveniently situated in the Sun Moon Lake district, this hotel features a bar. I was greeted by the owner and the staff were helpful. The room was very comfortable and nice. The bed was the most comfortable bed I ever been on. Food was out of this world. Dinner and breakfast was good.

Yadi Hotel is offering accommodation in Puli. This 2-star hotel offers a kids' club, a shared lounge and free WiFi. Everything!! plus we got a free upgrade which is a plus! Cleanliness/Staff/rooms/breakfast was great! The rooms were spacious and well thought out, that included breakfast was fairly decent and the kids really enjoyed the play room on the ground floor, I would definitely stay again! The location was very close to the Puli Night market, several convenience stores and a market as well.

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and views of the mountains, 正揚大飯店 is located in Renai in the Nantou County Region, 43 km from Hualien City. The best part is the hotel's hot spring in the back. Breakfast was also very simple but tasty (for Taiwanese). The rooms are functional and have mountain/valley views. Overall, Lushan is a very interesting area. Once upon a time, it was obviously a vibrant hot spring resort town but now it sits empty. Typhoons and landslides have led the government to condemn most of the buildings. The closed hotels are filled with rocks silt. Shops are trying their hardest to keep going. It's hard to imagine a recovery for this area, despite the immutable soothing natural hot springs. What a fascinating tale. Definitely worth a visit, but not on a rainy day.

The staff were friendly & attentive, all three rooms were beyond expectations. Breakfast was as expected for a buffet style included in the price and had numerous options for both Western and Chinese style. We weren't expecting the following in our room, high quality tea, coffee, bottles of water, snacks, and beverages in the refrigerator. Actual potable drinking water system available in the room and if you preferred sparkling water, it is available down the hall next to the elevators. Parking available on site, be sure to have your license plate available at check in. Numerous restaurants and stores available in the immediate area (see map in your room guest folder). Money for value without question, would definitely stay again.

The luxurious Sun Moon Lake Hotel is a 4-star property in Yuchi Township, with beautiful views of the Sun Moon Lake. The location is close to Suishe Visitor Center where the bus drops visitors off. It's about a 20 minute walk with luggage but we asked the hotel shuttle to pick us up and drop us off at the visitors center when we arrived and left. You can also schedule ahead of time if you want the shuttle to drop you off at Suishe at other times. There was a large buffet breakfast that was quite tasty. The room was also very clean and we liked the view. There were many bikes to use for free to bike along the bike path. This is not a criticism (and Sun Moon Lake is primarily a domestic tourist location) but a FYI - if you don't speak Chinese, communication with the hotel staff might be a bit challenging. Some staff had a little bit of English language skills but that was not necessarily consistent. That's ok though :) just be prepared with some sort of translator app which is definitely useful in Taiwan anyway.
