Breakfast was delicious, the room was so beautifully decorated, cozy and comfortable and the bathroom very modern and new! The reception and serving staff during dinner (and breakfast) were incredibly friendly.

Staying at a fortress is an incredible experience and I am so glad we spent our first night in Sweden at Kastellet Bed and Breakfast! The building is phenomenal. The rooms are charming. Beautiful old hotel, great location in Vaxholm harbour. Lots of Swedish history right in the middle of the Stockholm archipelago. Good food in the restaurant, nice atmosphere. Good but small breakfast, enough selection. Wonderful views from the restaurant and bar area.
The location is great: on one of the best islands in the Stockholm archipelago. The breakfast spot, which is the terrace of the main building, offers a great view.

Flexible to our needs. Open up SPA at our arrival and made evening sandwiches when restaurant in reallity closed. A beautiful view from the restaurant
Easy access to the house (with the code) which also means that you can arrive late. Room has bedsheets and a towel for you to use. Also fridge and sink. Kitchen looked big, unfortunately I didn’t have time to use it. The hostel is very close to the harbor.
we had rented a Cottage near the mainhouse. Very quiet, only short walking distance to the restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice walkways on the island and a small beach. Easy to spend a couple of relaxing days. Ferries go to the neighbouring Islands regularly, shopping only possible in Gräddö.
Absolutely stunning, great location. Totally recommend booking the sauna (have to email the hotel in advance), they have brand new facilities straight on the beach.
Wonderful breakfast. Loved sitting outside and eating and having coffee in the morning.
