The modern 4-star Holiday Inn Łódź is in Piotrkowska Street, which connects the north and south of the city and is famous for its numerous shopping, bars and clubs. Everything was great! Despite the late arrival, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! I would even go back just for the breakfast! :D

If you wish to visit Lodz, remember there are a few thing that can satisfy you: Piotkrowska street, Manufaktura and cheap but delicious foods and of course cheap alcohol! Forget about historical buildings and churches because they're always closed! (I don't know why but I stayed there for 14 days and couldn't visit any of 3 major churches)
Lodz is a city of contrasts. Pre-war buildings and ruined streets lay besides modern architecture and renovated splendid palaces and mansions. Lots of restaurants , bars and clubs very busy from Thursday till Sunday. Reasonnable prices everywhere. Lots of cultural events of high standard. City of students - I think 40000 studying here ? A city really worth visiting. Think of "Manchester of the East"
I enjoyed the market (targ) just down the street from my hotel and spent much time there. The concert I attended to listen to classical music on a Friday evening was fantastic. Manufactura was spectacular. I could have spent much more time there. Dinner at Soplicowa Rest. was superb. Public transportation in Lodz is easy to use.
Lodz is not a standard sightseeing city. Since Poland has much more famous cities to go like Krakow, Wroclaw or Gdanks, Lodz is not the first choice. But this is misleading. Lodz is a very beautiful place to stay and has very nice places. And since it is a modern city, one can taste extraordinary beer or just stay at normal "pico jasne" in the "Bierhalle". We advice everyone who visits Poland to go to Lodz for 2 or 3 days.
The "old town" in Lodz is more like an old street with everything located along Piotrkowska Street. The date of the structures is younger than what we have seen in other old towns but it is still quite beautiful and we found ourselves clicking pictures of the architecture just the same. We happened to be in Lodz during the Poland-Northern Ireland soccer game and the street side restaurants were all packed with fans watching big screen TV's. It was quite a boisterous atmosphere (very entertaining) that reminded us of a college football game.
I liked visiting their city center as a lot of it was picture worthy. Our conference was held at the Miasta Museum of Lodz and we were told of the many innovations they are doing to accomodate people with special needs. I find that a worthwhile endeavor.
Lodz is not for everyone, you have to be excited about the old and about the new in the same time, Lodz is not for every taste, you have to take your time to walk down on the old Piotrkowska street, with your mind and heart open to all that you may see, smell and meet and maybe, the best part of it is that is different every time. Lodz during the day and Lodz during the night are two completely different cities - different people, different lights, different people and different landscapes - Lodz is one of these cities that you will love from the very first sight or just don't - there is nothing in between.
Lodz is a cool up and coming city with easy connection to the capital Warsaw by train. Impressive modernist buildings and facilites stand cheek to jowl with old blocks in a scene symbolic of the emerging new Poland. Sporting the longest pedestrian street in Europe lined with shops, eateries, market stalls and local businesses. The new Manufactura shopping and cultural building, and the small but very poignantly realised Holocoust memorial site at the old Radegast station, are more than worthy of a visit.
Except for the Old Town main street, there is nothing to see in Lodz. The city was in a really poor condition and everything seemed to be under construction when I went there (summer 2015). Once the construction is ready, though, it may be a lot nicer.
Lodz is a very young city. It is mostly built in XIX century so there is no ,,European style" medieval old town. What I liked the most is not the fancy XIX century architecture on the main street but the industrial buildings all around the city. From many red brick factories to socialist power plants. Some of them are turned into loft apartments, others are still operational. Because Lodz is so flat it's not that hard to take a walk around and if tired, just take a tram - they're so easy to use. Bars, nightlife and culture is another story which I hadn't had time to explore all that much. What I did notice is the amount of street art in the city. Pop style kitchy sculptures on the main street, but also good quality murals on the side facades of many buildings. Thats why it is best to explore the city on foot.

First of all the host was the best. She helped us with the parking, recommendations and with an early and smooth check in. The apartment was very clean, actually it was the best apartment we had during our stay in Poland. You have a small balcony, necessary ammenities and the location is right in the center (not 10 minutes away or something like this, you literary get out of the block and you are on the main city center street). All in all our experience in Lodz was enhanced by the accommodation and the great host. PS : it is also pet friendly

The place is super convinient. It is in the exact center, on the main street so there is everything around you might need. The apartment is clean and nicely looking. All windows went into the inside of the area, so there was no noise from the street. Overall calm and quiet location, if there are not people doing more noisy work in the inside of the area, but I believe the noise is more rare. Overall I enjoyed my stay and belive this apartment is a very solid option for staying in Lodz!
Everything was perfect. Location close to main sights but quiet at the same time. Staff is exceptionally kind, they went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The room was impeccable and breakfast well diversified and tasty. The city center is beautiful and full of history. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will stay again when in Lodz next time. The apartment is stunning, very nicely decorated and even though it is a studio it is very spacious and you have everything in there. The location is brilliant, if you are first time to Lodz, you might not think so, but it is 5 min walking to Manufaktura and 5 min from the top of Piotrkowska street, plus you have big tram/bus connections on your doorstep. We were very happy with our stay even that it was only one night and will book in the future.

The place is just 10 minutes away from łódź fabryczna from where is very easy to catch a bus or train to other parts of Poland. Also, the apartment is 20 minutes (walking) away from manufaktura and just 5 minutes away from piotrkowska. Very well located. Communication with the hosts was always clear and swift. They let us know about problems in advance and when we had a concern they responded quickly.
We had a very pleasant stay in this apartment. The place was beautiful and it had everything we needed. The instructions were clear, we had an easy check-in process. They were very nice and allowed us to park a couple of hours before check-in time, when we got to Lodz and even had recommendations inside the apartment as where to eat and what to do. We would definitely recommend this place.
I traveled to Lodz in Late April. with a friend. The Hotel was in a quiet location, a bit away from the centre though. The room was clean and very small. I had requested for twin beds and they were provided. The beds were comfortable. The surprising element was the breakfast - it was super! The outside breakfast area was very beautiful and we loved the quiet and beautiful location.

This apartment is located directly on Piotrkowska, so you are right in the heart of Łódź. It is extremely cozy, stylish and feels very luxurious. Even with 3 people and a dog staying there, due to the good layout it didn't feel crammed. Bonus points for the good shower and complimentary toiletries! I definitely would stay here again.

Very good location, right behind the Galeria Łódzka, with a tram and bus station really close. Walking distance to Piotrkowska street, Żabka literally outside of the front door. Great balcony, fully equipped kitchen, nice big shower. We appreciate that the apartment has a working dishwasher and a laundry machine.

Very good location next to Galerria Lodz and Ul. Piotrkowska. Clean rooms and big enough for family of 4. We did not take a breakfast, but price is 75zl per person and kids are free. Recommend to book with room. Other option is to eat in cafe next door. Parking is free and convenient under the hotel for 24 hrs.

It was a great stay. Apartment located close enough to walk from Łódź Fabryczna (main train station) and 5 minutes to Piotrowska street. The Wschodnia street was recently renovated and looks very lovely. The owner was very responsive and ready to help. We really enjoyed having mansard window.

Modern building with off-street parking not too far from the centre of Lodz (Piotrkowska Street). Polite and helpful concierge who helped us with our bags. Some staff speak English but not all. Clean apartment with comfortable bed. No noise from street, at least not where we were.
Clean and smell good,and the location is close to the club Wytwórnia in Łódź. And there is a Żabka next to the hotel. I would recommend upgrading to a king bed room for men to stay. I would definitely come back when Kwiat Jabłoni concert is going to be in the club Wytwórnia.
If you don't mind sharing the kitchen with other guests, this is a very nice apartment. Everything was clean, all facilities functioning (unlike in many other budget accommodations). I would recommend this apartment for travelers staying in Lodz for 1 or two nights.
