I stayed here for 1 night during a cycling bikepacking trip around Leyte the night before my ferry to Cebu. It is a basic hotel and I found it to be as I expected from the previous reviews, it met my simple needs of a bed and a shower. Centrally located close to the Port of Maasin around the corner and a short walk to Maasin Cathedral square. Staff were helpful with my questions.

We really enjoyed our stay there and it's perfectly called a hideaway, a good place to unplug and unwind. The place and rooms are clean and service is really good. The food was by far one of the best we had in southern leyte, you can tell they actually care about the quality of their food. Also the owner was very nice and accommodating. He asked us for feedback about their food and drinks and we can only sing our praises. I would 100% recommend this place.

What a wonderful and pleasant stay we had with Maria and her son. The welcoming was as if you would come home. Beautiful views from the balcony over the bay and the surroundings. Big, deep, and very clean pool. Great bed, nice, thick, and comfy. Great AC! Good bathroom with warm shower, not that powerful, but if you stayed in the Philippines before you know that high waterpressure isn't a guarantee and we found it sufficient enough. Big TV, although we didn't use it, because we had a great and honest conversation with Maria the rest of the evening. Great breakfast in the morning, with a beautiful view. It was a pity that we booked another hotel, or else we definitely stayed longer...

The room was fantastic it had everything you needed and was super clean. The location was amazing. Waking up every morning and looking out across the bay was incredible. Chu and Larry were awesome and went above and beyond to help us whenever we needed assistance or to organise something. Honestly, the nicest place we stayed in the Philippines, couldn't recommend this Homestay enough

Portofino Homestay on hiljuti renoveeritud hommikusöögiga majutusasutus Malitbogis, kus külalised saavad nautida vaadet basseinile, eraranda ja vabaõhuvanni. Breakfast choices were really great, tasty and filling. -Giving you a really good start everyday. As well as dinner choices when we were staying in. The location of the Portofino Homestay, was amazing for us, as it's close to everything we wanted and not further away from anything than a joyful scooter drive won't bring you to. Not to mention the hosts help to make up a great family pool-party as well as the privacy we also could enjoy as a couple. Definitely coming here again! :D

The location, service, food, and amenities were excellent! I highly recommend this play to anyone looking to stay in the Southern Leyte. They have beautiful ocean views, diving, swimming, and the food and staff were exceptional!!!!
