Even with high tide and extraordinary waves, the beach and hotel felt very safe. When there was a problem with the electricity in the whole 5 had a generator for basic utility.

Located in the city centre, only 2 blocks from the main square, Hotel Costa del Sol Wyndham Tumbes is within the first complex Hotel - Mall and offers accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Very friendly and patient staff considering I didn't speak Spanish. Sometimes the restaurant service could be faster outside of the breakfast service. Nice to have a pool and the gym was quiet. Very clean and in a good, central location. The staff were helpful when I went on a tour to the National park - they took note of the hours I would be gone and spoke to the person leading the tour. Made me feel looked after! Also no problem for them to get you a taxi and the doorman was exceptional, very friendly. I'd had a busy few weeks and this stop allowed me to relax and I enjoyed the hotel so much I spent a lot of my time there!

We loved staying at Hotel Casa Playa Zorritos for a few days over the holidays! The room (the one that looks like a boat) was clean, comfortable, well-kept, with a comfortable bed and all necessary amenities. The hotel looked and felt more like a mini-resort with multiple lounge chairs, a pool, palm trees, and overall just a pleasant place to be. We got the breakfast every morning consisting of coffee/tea, fruit juice, eggs, and bread w/ butter and jam. It only cost 3 sol to get to downtown Zorritos via tuk-tuk for any shopping more food options, and a nice beach.
