Very helpful employee. Nice and tasty restaurant 2min walking. Even with high tide and extraordinary waves, the beach and hotel felt very safe. When there was a problem with the electricity in the whole 5 had a generator for basic utility.

Very friendly and patient staff considering I didn't speak Spanish. Sometimes the restaurant service could be faster outside of the breakfast service. Nice to have a pool and the gym was quiet. Very clean and in a good, central location. The staff were helpful when I went on a tour to the National park - they took note of the hours I would be gone and spoke to the person leading the tour. Made me feel looked after! Also no problem for them to get you a taxi and the doorman was exceptional, very friendly. I'd had a busy few weeks and this stop allowed me to relax and I enjoyed the hotel so much I spent a lot of my time there!

There is a huge difference between Zorritos and Casa Andina. Zorritos is 40 years- or more- away from joining the modern world. A 35 km- (22 mi)- trip from the Tumbes Airport to to Casa Andina took 90 minutes. A 2 hour cushion back was almost not enough. Zorritos is as rough as places I've been to in India.
My husband and I stayed in Tumbes for one night while transitioning to the beach from the jungle. Tumbes was a very cute town with a beautiful Plaza de Armas. One day was enough time in Tumbes. It was nice to walk around during the day near the Plaza de Armas. I wouldn't recommend walking around at night. I felt it was unsafe at times.
Not worth the time or the expense to get there. Tumbes is even a bigger disappointment.
I've made a review on Google about this place. It's unbelieveable; i booked this place because it looked like it had no additional taxes, later on when i arrived the hotel asked me for a specific ticket which was supposed to be in my passport and charged me extra 18% not to forget another 10% service charge (you will see, what you pay for is not service). After that we thought ok let's settle in, we found that the meal for 2 plus a beer was 30$ alone, they said "Langostinos" it was more like mini-shrimps. The room had a slide door to an outside "Prison", it wasn't really compelling. Cockroaches and Moskitos where in the room and it seemed that we have been some of the only guests. In the evening we tried to order one of the 4 deserts, only 1 was available at the time. The other day we thought, great hopefully we get good breakfast.... well 3 days old bread it seemed we left after just 1 day even though we booked 3 days. We also tried to go to places nearby but really you have to drive to Tumbes to find anything at all! I would highly NOT recommend this place! I have no clue how this place got so many stars. For me this is a Fraud!
The property is beautiful with a great beach and ocean (great waves!). The grounds/gardens are meticulously cared for and the staff are super attentive! The food was tasty and for all 3 meals and good size portions. A little piece of paradise, very very tranquil and quiet, which is what we were looking! Although about 1.5hr from Tumbes airport, the hotel set up a private transfer that was on time and very comfortable.

We loved staying at Hotel Casa Playa Zorritos for a few days over the holidays! The room (the one that looks like a boat) was clean, comfortable, well-kept, with a comfortable bed and all necessary amenities. The hotel looked and felt more like a mini-resort with multiple lounge chairs, a pool, palm trees, and overall just a pleasant place to be. We got the breakfast every morning consisting of coffee/tea, fruit juice, eggs, and bread w/ butter and jam. It only cost 3 sol to get to downtown Zorritos via tuk-tuk for any shopping more food options, and a nice beach.
