The Antigua Casona San Blas is a family-owned and operated boutique hotel in the historic center of Cusco with 50 rooms. Antigua Casona San Blas exceeded all my expectations. I stayed twice for 3 nights each. The staff was super friendly, every request was immediately met. The food the best in the whole of Cusco. The design beautiful but relaxed. The price extremely good value. Rarely ever do I stay in a hotel where there is not even a detail to improve (I did not try the Spa but participated in one yoga class which was very good).

If trekking early, can get a simple breakfast to go. The hotel also stored my backpack while I went on a 6 day excursion outside of Cusco.

Cusco er en skøn by - det er en god idé med en busrundtur for at få historien med. Jeg blev meget højdesyg da vi fløj direkte fra Lima - et godt råd er at tage turen op til Cusco i etaper hvis man ved man døjer med højdesyge.
Hyggelig by, torv, restauranter. Og ikke mindst fæstningsruinen og andre ruiner. Godt sted at overnatte de første dage for at afklimatisere, når man flyver ind til Cusco.
Der er gået turisme i restauranterne i den centrale del Cusco, hvor de fleste tilbyder mad, som ikke er bedre, end når man køber grill-mad herhjemme.
Selve byen er hyggelig. Et godt udgangspunkt for at se mange attraktioner i Cusco og omegn. Kan klart anbefale Machu Picchu og regnbuebjerget.
Ejeren Ruth er utrolig imødekommen og hjælpsom. Personalet var ligeså flinke og hjælpsomme, dog begrænset engelsk blandt caféens medarbejdere, hvilket var lidt udfordrende. Heldigvis hjalp hotellets reception gerne med oversættelse. Beliggenheden er rigtig fin i forhold til Cusco midtby, hvor man kan gå til på ca. 15-20 min. Caféen i hotellet var super hyggeligt og morgenmaden virkelig lækker.

The Rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff was always more than friendly and helpful. Also the Hotel ist perfectly located, quiet at night but close to shops, laundry stores and the city center. We would definitely stay here again!
Everything was amazing. Facilities, welcome drinks, rooms, spa. Sumaq was the best place to have our first time in Machu Picchu!
I enjoyed the contemporary decor and the service was excellent. Tea and cookies on arrival and then each evening cocktails were served they always seemed to know where we were. One evening they even turned up at the spa. I thought the breakfast selection was one of the best I have ever had.
Everything. Very tranquil, serene, super spacius rooms.. breakfast was a super abundant buffet so I dont understand some of the comments that said that the breakfast was basic. Great quality-cost relation.

Everything was pretty good overall. All email communications with Gustavo were great prior to our stay and during. We originally booked on booking.com at a very high price and kept looking and got a much better deal.....so I'd suggest if you're paying approx $250 USD it's a good deal. Food was great, grounds are immaculate (loved the 🦜 & all the 💐's), pool was nice and cold but great when in the sun for abit! We were there 2 nights/ 3 days for the sole purpose of relaxing and that's sure what we did. As mentioned in prior reviews, we found Peruvian families on site using the facilities and their clothing everywhere by the pool and grounds...maybe lockers should be provided for this. Only 6 lounge chairs by the pool, so not really good in that sense when hotel guests who are paying can't even get access. Also tables to put drinks on would be good (I think I also only saw 1 of those and again occupied by non-hotel guests). It would be nice if they had the theatre in English as well maybe at a different time. We couldn't get the TV to work really nor in English even after the maintenance guy came. We had several mosquitoes in the room upon check in, however was quickly rectified with a call to the desk and a lady came to spray and put plug ins. Woukd have been nice if we had clean chairs outside on the balcony for morning coffee (they were covered in bird poop) so we layed towels down on them as they were a tad tough to get clean. Yolanda at breakfast was exceptional. Went above and beyond for Us. We were also celebrating our Anniversary and they added a little nice touch to Our room upon arrival. We found it very clean, quiet, great food (make sure to save room for the Aranwa Experience desert....it's exceptional and have your phone ready for a video!). We had a pisco sour demonstration and it was awesome as we made our own & then got to consume them. They were delicious!!.

Especially thanks Saul who taught me how to make Pisco, it was a great experience. Thanks Freddy and Jefferson who show me round the hotel and explain clearly about the history and amenity of the hotel. Jefferson also recommended me some places to visit and restaurants to dine in Cusco. All the staff are amazing, definitely best memories during me trip in Peru.
Fabulous location with walking distance to great restaurants, museums, and shopping. Exceptional staff. Bonus was a very good restaurant with breakfast buffet, also spa with wonderful massage service.
the location is beyond magnificent! The view from the casita was legendary and the property is very spacious, a perfect sanctuary in the middle of the sacred valley
easy check in helpful staff. cold bottled water available for cheap. staff helped me with a different pillow. available 24 hrs. very flexible check in and out.
