Located right on the beach, Hokitika Beachfront Hotel offers rooms with cable TV and en suite bathrooms. It features an on-site restaurant and a bar. We had to book it last minute due to road closures cutting us off from our reserved hotel. We got in late at night and the night manager was extra helpful. He carried our three heavy bags to the second floor for us, as the was no elevator. Beds were very comfy.

With a riverside location right in the centre of town, Copthorne Hotel Greymouth offers comfortable, modern accommodation and easy access to the West Coast's spectacular scenic attractions. Location is good, within walking distance to the railway station for the Tranzalpine train. The room is spacious and very clean, and it had lovely clean, thick towels. I had a room overlooking the river and a bit of the sea. I didn't take my meals in the hotel, so I can't rate the food. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my short stay here in this hotel. I'm glad I didn't book a cheaper alternative.

Loved staying here - the hosts are amazing and the property is full of character. Such a great spot, great access for Paparoa Track and also a fascinating history. Great place to take a bike - very accommodating and helpful.

Hokitika Pioneer Hotel is an old style country pub with attached accommodation. With a casino, the property also features a garden. Guests can dine in the in-house restaurant or relax in the bar. Staff was so friendly and helpful!! Best people we met in New Zealand. We had dinner at the pub, which was also very tasty.
