The place has real character! Beautiful peaceful location, a real retreat. Comfortable rooms, well stocked kitchen. A treat to have a soak in the spa pool after a day on the bikes.

Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. We stayed in a cabin and used the facilities for breakfast. The barista coffee at the lodge was very much appreciated. The restaurant and bar were perfect after long days of walking. Comfortable and welcoming and catered for everyone in our group.

Located in the Tongariro National Park, The Park Hotel Ruapehu offers affordable accommodation in a stunning alpine setting. Guests are provided with free parking and 500MB of free WiFi. It was close to Tongariro walks and the bed was very good. Our bathroom was also very spacious

The bed is fantastically comfortable. Nice kitchenware with all the necessary bits and bobs. It was nice and warm and dry inside, and really liked the decor as well.

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. Entire facility is 5-star and beautifully maintained. Love the natural wood throughout and the style the complex has been built in. Staff and restaurant were excellent. Had a swim in the fantastic basement pool. Level 1 deck was stunning with a glass or two of wine in hand!

Situated in Manakau, 36 km from HortResearch, Tatum features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The accommodation provides free WiFi throughout the property. Very clean and the comfiest beds. The whole room was perfect for us.
