Modern facilities were awesome loved the decor, I stay at motels quite often and this one sets itself apart from the others. The rooms were spotless, very tidy and clean! I work for Fire and Emergency so I have stayed in many hotels across NZ and even though I live in Gisborne, I dont mind staying a couple of nights a year in the best hotel in NZ in my opinion. Clean, tidy, friendly hosts, comfortable big bed, and most importantly the spa pool 👍 will definitely continue to book at least a couple of nights a year to treat my wife and I to a night out. I really tried to like the hotel. Firstly it has an excellent location at the start of the CBD. The rooms are spacious with a large balcony. The front desk staff are lovely and helpful. There is car parking onsite subject to availability. Nice swimming pool. With a few tweaks and attention it could be a much better accommodation choice in Gisborne.

It is part of the Portside Hotel. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Gisborne Harbour, local restaurants, and the beach, where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Apartment has everything you need for a family stay away 😊 very nice host, easy to communicate.

This place was perfect for my one night stay in Gisborne. Close to the beach, private, super clean and fresh, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was included. Everything you need for a 'hotel' stay. A lovely host + such good value for money.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely private seating area outside each room. Laundry was free and there were many machines plus an outdoor clothes line. Location was great, short walk to beach and park.
The hotel was well situated, bed was comfy, shower good. House keeping staff were excellent.

Good value, easy drive into town. We got a call asking if we'd like the aircon in when we arrived and cold water in the fridge. Guest laundry so we could wash our clothes.
