I like Pangkor! I love the nature! I love to walk on the beach. The water was clean. However, government need to improve more on the facilities, more on the ambiance and so on. Since this year is visit perak 2017, action fast is needed from governmnt.
Cleanliness has vastly improved. Not sure if it is because of Visit Perak 2017, Just hope the condition could be maintained or further improved. No doubt food is good and value for money.

Sitiawan is one of town in Perak with majority of the Chinese from Foochow clan. It's a good place to go for seafood in Kampung Cina, Sitiawan. The name Sitiawan comes from the word 'Setia kawan' (loyal friend).
Small quiet lovely town with lots of history and places of attraction that will fascinate you and your family members of all ages. Among the places must visit are the leaning tower is Teluk Intan and the famous Perak River. It’s also famous for its chee cheong fun.
People is friendly and places are just okay. But there are alot of abandoned properties which i believe have so much potential if they are well maintained. Pangkor and Perak should be more aggressive in preserving and promoting the place.
Food is great, lots of choices. Easy to get around. There are lots of places to go and explore but you need a car to bring you around. My favorite is Bukit Merah laketown Resort 30mins from Taiping is an eco-tourism complex with a water park, eco park and where the Orangutan Island sanctuary is. Then the Charcoal Factory (Kuala Sepatang), Matang Mangrove forest reserve river boat ride in the fishing village formerly Port Well train station. Burmese Pool and the military cemetery. The famous Taiping Lake Garden, Kota Ngah Ibrahim landmark Museum, Anton Coffee factory, and Perak Museum. Maxwell hill great to see nature on a jeep ride. Taiping has so many old buildings dated back to 1800 around the town. There is one particular coffee shop we discovered (newly opened) its Yinn's Patisserie at 57, Jalan Barrack. This 1800's building was restored and the interior was beautifully decorated. The owner Mr Yeap Thean Hock designed the fabulous interior, he was so accommodating to tell us the whole history of the place. The cake and coffee was great as well as the ambience. Enjoyed Taiping very much.
A well-located hotel with a dedicated side door through to the new shopping mall. Sound-proofing. Great view from the pool which is long enough to do some lengths. Excellent Chinese restaurant nearby called HM Ancient Delights. Lake Gardens a must; Perak Museum currently being renovated (to a high standard) so limited displays atm but still worth it - don't miss the grand old cars at the rear. So easy and cheap to get around using Grab (Uber).
The price is very affordable for this room. Maybe bcs of the discount I got. The room is very SPACIOUS and clean as well. Most importantly is their room isn’t tiles. They use vinyls which is I kind of love it! And thanks to the worker that are willing to accept my request 🫶🏻 will repeat booking this hotel if I want some leasure again at Ipoh, Perak.
The room was very spacious. Every time we in manjung/sitiawan, will surely pick sun inns hotel. For a budget hotel, sun inns was a good choice as the rooms very spacious.. standard room can fit 3 adults. Comfortable, clean and strategic locations. Staff really friendly. Parking also easy. Surely my family choice when we travel to manjung perak.

Seri Iskandar
The house is very near to UiTM Perak where my sister is studying. Hence its a good spot for me and my family to stay when visiting. The owner even open a mini shop for drinks and snacks! Theres ice cream Malaysia too!!!
The view is amazing. Staffs are awesome. Lots of facilities. Provide good info for hotel activities and any good Perak place to visit on the first day. Delicious breakfasts with fresh brewed coffee!!
Location is good. The Chinese man at the counter is helpful. If hotel parking is full, there are other parking spaces (can pay via Perak parking app). Check in process could be faster.

Beautiful shophouse with a rustic charm! Host was great, friendly and informative. Attractions (Taiping Gardens, Bukit Larut, Perak Museum) are within walking distance from hostel.
I guess this is the best hotel with swimming pool in Manjung, Perak. Staff are doing their best even during weekend with high volume of customers.

Absolutely charming place, very comfortable, welcoming, with good service. Delicious food in buffet for breakfast and dinner, in Chinese restaurant. Nice opportunity to observe wildlife as hornbills, flying foxes, fish in transparent water, even monkeys and monitor lizard :) And I fell in love to their design of every tiny thing, it was one of the most beautiful resort experience for me during last 10 years

Room was big and comes with a bathtub, which you can watch TV through a glass partition. Swimming pool is at the roof top and is infinity pool type. Did not explore the gym. Breakfast buffet has a wide range of food, but please go try the local food outside of the hotel. You won't be disappointed. There is a direct access to the nearby shopping mall, Ipoh Parade.
