Nongkhiaw The Float House provides accommodation in Nongkhiaw. Featuring a terrace, the 3-star resort has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The floating houses are beautifully located on the river with view upon the mountains, since it’s a bit out of the city it’s very peaceful and quiet. It’s only the boats passing by on the river that makes noise. The house is modern with a large bedroom and bathroom. The included breakfast is really good and filling with homemade bread, croissants and good coffee. Staff is helpful and helped us organise a boat that picked us up at our own terrace at the house. They organise shuttles to the city as well (although it’s only 15 min walk). All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and could easily have stayed longer and will definitely come back.

The best stay I've had in Laos so far! Mine was a private room with in-suite bathroom without a riverfront view. Rooms, bathrooms and linen were very clean. There's hot water in the shower. Water pressure in my room was great. Sound proofing is decent. There's a shared outdoor seating area with a couple of hammocks where I'd lounge about all day. The wifi is strong and stable. They have tea, coffee and bananas at the front desk. Ask for bottled water if you need some. The ever-smiling Mr. Sinsai is an amazing host. He speaks fluent English and is always available, should you need anything. He got me some terrific deals on tours. Also helped book bus tickets to Luang Prabang. The highlight of my stay was the New Year's Eve barbecue which he helped me setup! 10/10 would recommend. I'm gonna stay here again the next time I'm in town.

Staff, so friendly, on hand to help, breakfast wonderful. I had to leave really early but the owner still made me breakfast which was very very kind of her. They'll do anything to help you. Room beautiful and spacious, wonderful view and balcony too. As a solo traveller I asked to be put on higher floor and they put me right at top floor which I appreciated SO MUCH. Best place to stay, look no further!!!!
