The staff was very nice. They also connected us with a trekking guide that took us to the waterfall.

For the location and age of the property, it is decent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. They did really good preserving the charm of the old style houses but if you are looking for something more modern this place is not it.

I was also invited to join the family for a birthday dinner celebration, which was lovely to share with them. Staying here was a great experience, and a fantastic way to learn about the local culture and communities. Definitely a highlight of my time in Cambodia!! I highly recommend staying here to support a family-run business, and booking a tour if you have time!

This was by far my favorite experience in Cambodia. Living with this amazing family was so exciting! Now, you can’t be expecting luxury, 5 stars etc, but when you’re ready to fully dive into a local family’s life & home, then look no further. Pov and his wife & kids are so welcoming & kind and try their best to make your stay perfect. I didn’t have time to do big jungle treks, so instead, Pov took me around the area, visiting the best spots, and let me hang out with him and his friends in the evenings! Him and his wife also made sure I wasn’t starving, and even cooked vegan meals for me. I loved my time here and would definitely come back! Maybe in the future! Choul mouy my friend!

We had the best stay here in Ban Lung. It’s really impressive what Smey has build here! The bungalows are super clean and you have everything you need. We did a 2-day jungle trek and could just leave our stuff in our bungalow. Afterwards we booked an extra night because it’s so nice here. The food is also really delicious. Also would recommend doing your laundry here. Definitely will stay here again if we ever come back!

FamilyHouse & Trekking enjoys a location in Banlung, 3.8 miles from Yeak Laom Lake and 4.3 miles from Ka Chanh Waterfall. I loved my stay here!!!!! The owner is SO accommodating, allowed me to move around the dates I’d booked so I could do the Virachey NP 2 day hike. The food is lovely and a good price. The beds were super comfy! I really cannot express how welcoming and lovely the host, Mr Pu Thea is. When we got back from the tour he even got us all some more smoked buffalo at no extra charge.
