The hotel is spacious and has lovely decor for a chain; it incorporates lots of Kenyan elements to make it feel unique. And all of the staff couldn't have been more friendly. For example, Stephen was great when we checked in, sorting our bags for us and showing us round, and Lydia was very attentive at breakfast. The Askaris on the gate were also great when getting ubers at night, stationed outside the gate and ensuring we got in the car ok.

Kom fra flere dager på landsbygda (Kesses) så Nairobi ble et "sjokk" - voldsom trafikk (forurensning), lange avstander. Men imponerende by med interessant sentrum.
Storby med mye trafikk, dårlig infrastruktur og fraværende offentlig transport. Men alt fungerer bra med taxi. Bli enig om prisen først. Det meste av interesse ligger i utkanten rundt byen. Har et flott safari reservat, som gjør at man får se mye viltliv (game) på en dag, inkl løver. Bydelen Karen og Karen Blixen museet er lett tilgjegelig med taxi. Det fins mange fine shoppingsentre, bl.a Yaya senteret (bra bokhandel) og Villige market, som har Masai marked hver fredag. Cafe kjeden" Java House" har en god meny og hyggelig personal. Ønsker man et nostalgisk/dyrt sted å spise anbefales et måltid på Norfolk. Nairobi er først og fremst en gjennomfartsby, på vei til noe annet....
