And the staff were all incredibly friendly.

But this stay deserves 12/10. RyumaHirai (the host) was super helpful and very nice, he assisted us in everything! Check-in process was super-easy, and instructions were clear. Although the studio is not very big, there is everything you need. There is a small yard if you want to spend some time alone, and (not relevant to me) you can smoke there. If I ever come back to Otsu (which is likely, as the town is very nice) I will be happy to stay there once again.

The host speaks good English and explained clearly about everything in the house. The room was clean and tidy, and the futon was very comfortable. I would recommend others to stay here.
