Breakfast was very good and varied every day. The host (family) is very friendly and helpful and made good recommendations for restaurants and organized respective reservations.

Taketomijima Akaneya is located in Taketomi. The accommodation features traditional Okinawan red tile roofs and traditional Taketomi-style decor and amenities made from local woods and grass. This folk house is unique and pretty exquisite. You would be surprised by exploring this diverse and elegant space on a remote island. I mainly used LINE and AI tool (e.g. POE) to communicate with the house owner Iwamoto. He would take the initiative to take care of you, such as your intinerary, personal belongings and safety. Don't be shy to seek his help. He is very nice.

Mayagusuku Resort se găsește în Iriomote, la 4 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja Tsuki-ga-hama, și are biciclete gratuite, o grădină, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. the family that owned the hotel were lovely and so helpful, they sorted out all our evening restaurant reservations for us ( there are not many places to eat and they get booked up quickly so even though its super quiet you need to reserve) and even drove us to the restaurant on the first night, they also gave us a lift into town to catch the ferry on the last day. the room was large and characterful and the balcony and the view and the hot tub were great. there is an amazing beach just 5 minutes away.

Amazing view and places to relax in hammocks. Super accommodating staff who helped us book dinner reservations and kayak tours since we couldn’t speak Japanese.

Absolutely stunning location!! I’m so glad I upgraded to a beach view room, gorgeous view every morning~ the breakfast (Thanks for making a British cup of tea for me!) and dinner was delicious! Beachfront was perfect, gorgeous view and plenty of sealife to spot! Chuhai in hand watching the sea was perfect. Loved sitting on the beach sea swing further down the beach! You can go on the roof to view the stars, I’ve never seen so many stars (and Milky Way!!) before~ stunning!! ⭐️ The nearby town is 10min walk and has an amazing restaurant Katagiri, I recommend the mobudofu and gyoza. Hotel owners were friendly and helpful!! Trip was cut short by a day due to typhoon and hotel owners were so helpful with everything. Wish I could have stayed longer!! Will definitely be back~ thank you so much!!

From the reception I felt so welcoming by bon san , staff seems professional in their duties , jego san thank you for making my 2nd day fruitful with koora waterfall and sup as I had no plan and was In confused of how to utilise the time

The beach in front of the hotel was lovely to swim at and the water was nice and warm (May). The beach around the corner by the view point was gorgeous. The staff were extremely helpful. They gave us great recommendations for snorkelling and kayaking tours, advice on restaurants, directions, bus service and booked our reservations. Free pick up service from/to ferry. They spoke limited English and we spoke no Japanese (just a few pleasantries) but they used a translator on their phone to work out what we wanted. Nothing was too hard. There is a dive shop there which does boat tours out to the dive spots. You can also hire an SUP.

Located on Iriomote Island, Iriomotejima Jungle Hotel Painumaya offers air-conditioned non-smoking rooms with river and jungle views. Free Wifi is available at the lobby. The view and location of the hotel were out of this world. The staff was also very friendly and tried to help, even though they had some problems understanding English.
