Breakfast was very good and varied every day. The host (family) is very friendly and helpful and made good recommendations for restaurants and organized respective reservations.

This folk house is unique and pretty exquisite. You would be surprised by exploring this diverse and elegant space on a remote island. I mainly used LINE and AI tool (e.g. POE) to communicate with the house owner Iwamoto. He would take the initiative to take care of you, such as your intinerary, personal belongings and safety. Don't be shy to seek his help. He is very nice.

Mayagusuku Resort er staðsett í Iriomote, 400 metra frá Tsuki-ga-hama-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis reiðhjólum, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garð og verönd. the family that owned the hotel were lovely and so helpful, they sorted out all our evening restaurant reservations for us ( there are not many places to eat and they get booked up quickly so even though its super quiet you need to reserve) and even drove us to the restaurant on the first night, they also gave us a lift into town to catch the ferry on the last day. the room was large and characterful and the balcony and the view and the hot tub were great. there is an amazing beach just 5 minutes away.

Villa Unarizaki er staðsett í Iriomote, 300 metra frá Tsuki-ga-hama-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og veitingastað. Amazing view and places to relax in hammocks. Super accommodating staff who helped us book dinner reservations and kayak tours since we couldn’t speak Japanese.

Hotel Hoshitate Iriomotejima er staðsett í Iriomote, 1,3 km frá Sonai-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlegri setustofu og veitingastað. Absolutely stunning location!! I’m so glad I upgraded to a beach view room, gorgeous view every morning~ the breakfast (Thanks for making a British cup of tea for me!) and dinner was delicious! Beachfront was perfect, gorgeous view and plenty of sealife to spot! Chuhai in hand watching the sea was perfect. Loved sitting on the beach sea swing further down the beach! You can go on the roof to view the stars, I’ve never seen so many stars (and Milky Way!!) before~ stunning!! ⭐️ The nearby town is 10min walk and has an amazing restaurant Katagiri, I recommend the mobudofu and gyoza. Hotel owners were friendly and helpful!! Trip was cut short by a day due to typhoon and hotel owners were so helpful with everything. Wish I could have stayed longer!! Will definitely be back~ thank you so much!!

Located in Urauchi and within 600 metres of Maruma Beach, 杜屋 西表島 features a terrace, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. If u like nature u get woke up by exotic birds, you can see tge sunrise from the terrace. The food and drinks are good. Bed was comfortable , shop and rental services and ferry nearby .

Set in Iriomote, 700 metres from Maruma Beach, リゾートイン西表島 offers accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a bar. From the reception I felt so welcoming by bon san , staff seems professional in their duties , jego san thank you for making my 2nd day fruitful with koora waterfall and sup as I had no plan and was In confused of how to utilise the time

Ilmare Unarizaki er staðsett í Iriomote, 100 metra frá Tsuki-ga-hama-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með sameiginlegri setustofu, ókeypis einkabílastæði, verönd og veitingastað. The views were spectacular. The beach in front of the hotel was lovely to swim at and the water was nice and warm (May). The beach around the corner by the view point was gorgeous. The staff were extremely helpful. They gave us great recommendations for snorkelling and kayaking tours, advice on restaurants, directions, bus service and booked our reservations. Free pick up service from/to ferry. They spoke limited English and we spoke no Japanese (just a few pleasantries) but they used a translator on their phone to work out what we wanted. Nothing was too hard. There is a dive shop there which does boat tours out to the dive spots. You can also hire an SUP.

The view and location of the hotel were out of this world. The staff was also very friendly and tried to help, even though they had some problems understanding English.
