The place is very nice but it is overpriced. There are many nice places to ear in other Calabrian towns and seaside bars. I tried the Sea Horse Beach Bar in Coreca very close to Amantea. The bartender Max can offer the best Mojito in Calabria! In Tropea I did not find any place that could serve us a nice drink. Pro-secco is everywhere so it was nice anyway.
Tropea is BEAUTIFUL. The whole setting: beaches, old town, the coast, make this a pearl on the Calabrian coast. The food on offer as well as the reasonable southern Italian prices also make a stay here a gastronomic delight. However, with so much on offer here, the number of visitors is overwhelming. If you don't mind touristic crowds, this is a place for you. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing break, Tropea at the height of summer isn't for you.
So tropea was an amazing place! The beach - pristine warm and just very relaxing! There are rocks so bring/wear reef shoes! The food and gelato is very nice - especially seafood! There's a place on the beach - aquamarine - the best food we had there! There is also quite a lot of shopping and they stay open till midnight. Only thing I found hard to get was aloe Vera so if you normally use it - take a bottle or 2 from home! To get there one of 2 ways - from Calabria airport - take a taxi about 1.5hrs approx 150/200 euro orrrr a 5 min drive from the airport to the central train station in Calabria. It's a 2hr train ride ( all ocean views) and you will need to change at From tropea station you can walk ( note it will be up a hill or 2 about 10mins - not ideal if your have heavy luggage) or a 2 min taxi! I'm from Australia and the food and accommodation is very well priced! There is a church on the cliff overlooking a beach - definitely worthwhile to check it out also! My husband and I definitely would like to make a habit to come back at least every year! We travelled from Paris to get there and it was approx 12 hr trip for us but sooo worth it!
It's one of my favourite towns in Calabria (and I love the entire region). Just the right size and atmosphere, depending on where you stay you can do everything on foot, and still see so much. The beaches are glorious, the waters crystal clear. If you take a car make sure to stretch to the mountains too - only an hour's drive and you can enjoy a completely different scenery and food.

Morano Calabria is a a very picturesque place from afar and it is a very pleasant place to visit. It is lovely just to wander the streets of the old town which are on a steep hillside so there are many narrow stairs and alleys. The people have gone to some trouble to welcome visitors but in a pretty low key way.
Small and beautiful town, easy access to the beach, lots of beautiful places to visit nearby like Pizzo, Zambrone, Scilla, Parghelia, Reggio Calabria can be visit by train or you can take a day trip to the Capo Vaticano or the Eolian Islands The downside, you can't use your credit card, there are a few places where you can do that, cash is better and the stores close at 7 pm, so you have to take that in mind!
Pargelia is a charming Calabrian village offering many facilities including nice bars, shops and restaurants. It is easily accessible by road and rail and is conveniently located for local sights, attractions and amenities.
Le Castella is a lovely town in the south of Italy, Calabria region. The beaches are beautiful, some still rural, crystal clear sea. Amazing seafood and fresh fish. Friendly people!
Typical Italian village. The people are very friendly and helpful. You could eat very well an assortment of typical Italian dishes. There are a lot of small boutiques with a lot of typical Calabria products. But if you want more big markets there are only two smallish one far from the city center. The beaches are very nice with clean water but be prepared to pay premium for a beer on the beach (mind you with a very beautiful view)
Reggio Calabria
Me and my friends stayed at this apartment for 2 nights while visiting Reggio Calabria. This apartment is just walking distance from the Reggio Calabria Centrale station, which was very convenient for getting around. The host gave us a warm welcome and explained in detail the access and facilities of the apartment. The apartment is a good size for 4 people and is cosy, clean, had plenty of storage to keep your stuff and the beds were really comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay and I would highly recommend it.
Reggio Calabria
The venue is perfectly located for a late flight into Reggio Calabria. I found it walkable with a young family. Access to the room was easy, even way after hours, as all access codes and instructions are well communicated. The room itself was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. The Nespresso pods left on the desk and machine in the communal area made for the perfect wake-up and little kick of Italy you want for the start of a holiday. The owners were also helpful with a shuttle to the train station.
Scilla
Scilla was the highlight of our Italy-trip! We truly enjoyed to stay in the beautiful place of Piana della galee. The view is fantastic, close to the water so you will hear the waves. Silvana and her family are such kind and caring hosts! We were lucky to have dinner at De Angelis, (which was delicate) but the apartment also has a very well equipped kitchen with everything you need to make dinner. We are already thinking about when we could go back to Calabria and this beautiful place in Scilla!
Cosenza
This place is a hidden gem. We are so glad that we had the pleasure in experiencing everything this had to offer. The restoration in this place was to perfection. Giacomo was very helpful and friendly and recommended a few places to dine at. We had the best dinner in Italy called Calabria Bella. The food was to die for and we ate the most amazing cheesecake we’ve ever had .. Michela prepared the most beautiful fresh breakfast, the best way to start the day. We will go back in heart beat.
Reggio Calabria
I was a solo traveller and visited Italy for the first time. My 2 night-stay in Reggio Calabria was a fantastic experience thanks to excellent and friendly host, Sabrina. From the beggining, I was helped a lot by her kind airport shuttle service. The single room was beautifully decorated and I slept well on the comfortable bed. Enjoyed her handmade breakfast under the warm sunshine. The location of Anirbas is also convenient to access to the city centre on foot. Strongly recommend.
Reggio Calabria
Very spacious and charming apartment in the heart of Reggio Calabria. Just a few steps from the main shopping street. Hosts were so helpful and nice! We just were a little surprised that there was no water after 7 p.m., though there is a water tank on the balcony. Guess we missed something as the lady who welcomed us didn’t speak English 😂 This should be mentioned in the description - it’s not a big deal when one knows it - at least we wouldn’t take long showers after 7 p.m. 😆

Clean and safe apartment, furnished with a good taste and well-heated Located in the heart of Reggio Calabria, around the corner from Piazza Orange and the Castle, a few minutes walk from the main attractions. Butcher, supermarket, bars, bakeries and wine-shops nearby. Owner very responsive and caring. Good stable wifi connection, the presence of the washing machine a nice plus It was a good base for us to work and at the same time explore Reggio in the Christmas period

Thanks a lot for this personal service you gave us. I came with my 6 years old son in May for one night, because we had to get the flight in the early morning. For this circumstances it is the perfect Apartment! You can walk by foot in 10 minutes to the Airport from there. The owner have a Pizzeria downstairs and the waiter was so nice and the Pizza was tasty! Thanks, and see you next time, when we have to get the flight from Reggio Calabria.:)

location was excellent. Easy street parking just outside the apartment door. And it was just a short walk to the Archaeological museum in Reggio di Calabria. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had access to the kitchen and the outside terrace where we were able to do much needed laundry. The hose Sylvia was very helpful and gave great recommendations for things to do and where to eat. Too bad we only needed to stay the one night.

I was blown away by this place. It is well appointed and very comfortable. The rooms are stylish and a great value. It is well located to explore Reggio Calabria. For Italy, the shower was larger than most, which was very nice. There is a small balcony, which I enjoyed. There is no view, except other buildings, but I liked being able to have a coffee or glass of wine outside. The host was friendly and helpful with suggestions.
San Lucido
It’s a spacious 1st-floor apartment with small balcony in San Lucido’s atmospheric old town, two streets away from the panoramica. Location is ideal with restaurants, cafes, bars, mini-supermarkets all within 2-5mins walk. Beach is 10mins via staircase. Apartment itself is very well-equipped and Armando the friendly host is always available. Very competitive price for an extended stay in this part of Calabria
Reggio Calabria
One of the best places we’ve stayed! The owner Aldo is amazing. He took time out of his day to show us the ‘real’ Reggio Calabria. The room is perfect - really comfortable bed, TV, bathroom facilities are great and the air conditioning works well. 5 minute walk to the airport which is perfect for early morning flights. Thank you Aldo! We will be back to explore more of this beautiful region of Italy!

This is one of the best & cleanest Hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and the staff was amazing and completely organised with everything at hand. I would advise anyone going to Reggio Calabria to stay here 100%. Even gave a birthday surprise/cake which was so generous I can’t even describe! Very nice location, super comfortable apartments with washing machine and kitchen . Lot of room for family with kids. The swimming pool is big and the man working as "wathcer" is super friendly with kids and with adults. The stuff is nice and friendly. Additional note: the facility it's mosquito-free!! (Very important because Calabria is famous for very aggressive tiger mosquitos )

Very pleasant hotel in the city center. Just a few minutes walk from the Duomo and from the famous „Falcomata“ the lungomare of Reggio Calabria. Giuseppe is a great host, very friendly and supportive with local tips and suggestions. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. This family-run hotel exceeded our expectations in every way! The friendly staff made us feel like family and we so enjoyed the delicious home baked breakfast goodies and berries picked right off the tree. Perfect place to stay and explore Reggio di Calabria. Close to train station and port where you can find ferries to Sicily. Apartment is very clean, cosy and completely equipped (with two balcony) Aurora gave us some useful tips and was very hospitable during our whole stay. It was a great choice. Thank you very much 😊

It's great. Very clean and comfortable, I stayed in the 4 bd female and there was a private bathroom. The location is great, very central in RC and around 10-15 minutes walk to the train station. The staff is very nice and friendly as well, I would definitely stay here if back in Reggio Calabria :)

Everything was fine, apartment was nice and tidy, equipped with the necessary equipment. Area near apartment was quiet and peaceful with beautiful garden. Owners are very helpful and welcoming, I hope that isn't our last stay at Litto Appartamenti :) Tropea is true gem of Calabria
