Set on a square behind Reykjavík Cathedral and the Icelandic Parliament, this hotel offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi access and Nespresso coffee machines. Lake Tjörnin is 1 minutes’ walk away. The location was superb. We left our car in an inexpensive carpark and did much of our exploration on foot. We were beside the lake, near the parliament buildings, across from the church (which kindly was NOT ringing its bells), and dozens of excellent restaurants. We drove to the sites further afield. We had selected the "Big Room 307" and were charmed by it. A separate bedroom, good bathroom, and a sitting room with sofa and bar stools at the counter. The breakfast buffet got us off to a good start each day. All the Reception staff were great with Martin setting the tone. Lovely to have met you all.

If you want to feel nordic cosiness,this hotel provides excellent opportunity,stayed in two different locations and loved both . A bit pricey but totally worth it, highly recommend.

Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. I had to shorten my original two-night stay to one. The helpful staff offered me a room upgrade for the cancelled night and a credit for one night for future accommodation. Absolutely great customer service, which you don't find everywhere. The hotel has a great location and an excellent breakfast. Everything is clean and beautiful.

Hotel Reykjavík Saga features a fitness centre, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Reykjavík. This 4-star hotel offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. I ate too much, every day! I must have gained about 5 kg. The food was outstanding, it smelled, looked and tasted really good. Each time I took a mouthful my tastebuds exploded. Well done to the chef and their team for putting so much passion and love into making the food.

Everything! The interior of the rooms and lobby are beautiful. Bed was so comfy! Shower was so good! Their staffs were very accommodating.

This hotel is on Reykjavík’s main street, Laugavegur, 250 metres from the waterfront promenade. It offers an intimate setting and tastefully designed rooms. Parking is free. Cozy bed. Spotless room and lobby. Cute decor. Walkable to all the sights in Reykjavik. Owners super nice and helpful. The breakfast is outstanding.
